Saturdays top tips

Aston Villa probably need three wins from three to break into the Premier League top five but they have a tough assignment on the road tonight at AFC Bournemouth.

Unai Emery's side are looking to qualify for the Champions League for the second time running and claimed an important 1-0 win over Fulham last weekend.

However, they are up against a Cherries side who beat Arsenal on the road in their last outing as they look to hunt down a potential place in next season's Conference League.

AFC Bournemouth vs Aston Villa top betting tips

Both teams will be going for a win in this one so it bodes well for an open game, especially with BTTS landing in the last three meetings.

Combining BTTS with over 2.5 goals only pays 4/5 at BoyleSports though so I'm more drawn to over 1.5 first-half goals at 11/8.

Cherries midfielder Tyler Adams has been booked in three of his last four outings so there could be some value in backing him for a card at 5/2 with BoyleSports.

Southampton vs Manchester City top betting tips

Manchester City's revival has picked up so much pace in recent weeks that it wouldn't be a massive surprise if they now overhauled Arsenal to pinch second place in the Premier League table.

It has been a poor season for Pep Guardiola's side but they're finishing it in style, with City winning their last five games as part of a nine-match unbeaten run.

This clash with rock-bottom Southampton is their final game before next weekend's FA Cup Final with Crystal Palace so it will be interesting to see if Guardiola picks a strong side or gives some fringe players a chance to impress.

Erling Haaland was back on the bench last weekend and I'd assume the Norwegian will get some game time here ahead of Wembley. But he's just 2/5 at BoyleSports for anytime scorer and that doesn't look good as he might only get a run-out as a sub.

Saints have been dismal all season so I fancy Guardiola's side to win both halves at a boosted 11/8 with BoyleSports while City -2 in the handicap pays 13/10.

Celtic vs Hibernian

Hibs are in pole position for third placed in the SPFL Premiership but face the ultimate test this afternoon with a trip to champions Celtic.

David Gray's side beat the Hoops 2-1 in Edinburgh earlier this season but have lost on their last seven visits to Celtic Park. That's why Brendan Rodgers' men are 2/7 hot favourites with BoyleSports while the Hibees are 8/1 shots.

The best value is probably in the player markets and Adam Idah will be on a high after scoring Celtic's leveller at Ibrox last weekend.

The Irishman is 11/10 at BoyleSports for anytime scorer and that looks a good price given he has netted four times in his last three games.

St Johnstone vs Ross County

There's a huge clash at the foot of the SPFL Premiership as the bottom two face off in Perth and St Johnstone will be doomed if they fail to beat Ross County.

Saints are six points adrift with just three games to go after losing their last four games but now take on a Staggies side who are in even worse form.

Don Cowie's men have lost six on the spin so that's why BoyleSports make them 11/5 outsiders, with St Johnstone 23/20 favourites.

This should be tense and tetchy so backing a busy day for the officials could pay off. Combining cards for Saints star Sven Sprangler and County's Conor Randall pays 65/10 at Bet365 while over 47.5 booking points looks good at evens with Betfred.

Saturday's Super Singles

  • Tyler Adams to be carded 5/2 BoyleSports
  • Manchester City to win both halves 11/8 BoyleSports
  • Adam Idah anytime scorer 11/10 BoyleSports

Long shot

  • Sven Sprangler and Conor Randall to be carded 65/10 Bet365
