ROBIN VAN PERSIE is 5-1 with Ladbrokes to break last season's league goal haul of 31 when he arrives at Man United.
The bookies were quick to react to the news he'd signed by cutting United to 9-4 (from 5-2) for the title as well as making him the new 6-1 favourite to be top scorer.
The book is open on how many times he'll score against his old club this season with exactly one goal the 11-8 favourite. He's a marginal 10-11 outsider in a goals match bet with his team-mate Wayne Rooney (4-5 favourite) and they are 5-6 to score over 42.5 goals collectively.
Van Persie has also been cut to 11-4 to win the next PFA Player of the Year award.
