ENGLAND are 6-5 favourites to win the Six Nations after the first round of matches.

William Hill make France not far behind at 6-4 while England are 11-5 to win the Grand Slam and 10-11 the Triple Crown.

Spokesman Rupert Adams said:  “The odds suggest the Six Nations is a two-horse race, with home advantage swinging the betting towards an England victory.”

I correctly tipped the results of the opening three games and picked two out of three on the handicaps.

Scotland were my call at evens plus 14 and they shaded it by losing 34-21 to France.

Italy easily covered the handicap offered by bet365 at 11-10. They were given a 12-point start but lost just 11-3.

I also took Wales plus six against England but a late penalty saw them lose by seven in Cardiff.

William Hill Six Nations outright: 6-5 England, 6-4 France, 3-1 Ireland, 25-1 Scotland, 33-1 Wales, 250-1 Italy.

Grand Slam: 10-11 none, 11-5 England, 9-2 France, 8-1 Ireland.

Triple Crown: 10-11 England, 21-10 none, 4-1 Ireland, 14-1 Scotland.
