Peterborough United earned a hard fought 1-0 victory at Fleetwood Town in their previous League One fixture. They had been kept quiet for much of the game but found the breakthrough late on through Jonson Clarke-Harris’ free-kick.
The hosts are second on the table but still have hopes of clinching the League One title as they sit just one point behind leaders Hull City. They have been in fine form lately and are unbeaten in four of their last five matches.

Monday’s clash appears too close to call but the bookies have installed Sunderland slight favourites with SBK offering 30/17 for an away victory. The same firm has Peterborough United at 20/11 to win while a draw is set at 9/4 by betfair.
With both teams appearing evenly matched at the moment, I am tempted to lean towards a draw in this one.

Sunderland have the edge in this fixture with six wins from nine previous matches, including a 1-0 victory in the reverse fixture. Peterborough have been victorious just once while there have been two draws between both teams.
Recent meetings have been more evenly spread with a win each and two draws in the last four matches.
Players to watch
