Liverpool have barely put a foot wrong in the UEFA Champions League this season but face a tough hurdle on the road to Munich with a clash against in-form Paris St-Germain in the last 16.
Arne Slot's side flew out of the traps in the revamped league phase, racking up seven successive wins to top the table before losing 3-2 at PSV.
With the Anfield giants also romping clear in the Premier League, this is shaping up as a spectacular debut season for the Dutch coach. Liverpool are now just 1/300 with some firms in the odds for domestic glory and they also lead the market for Champions League success.
The draw hasn't been kind to them though and taking on PSG is one of the toughest assignments they could have landed.
It looked like the French giants might miss out on the knockout stages after a terrible start to the league phase left them languishing in the bottom half.
But they finished in style with wins over Salzburg, Manchester City and Stuttgart then crushed fellow Ligue 1 side Brest 10-0 on aggregate in the play-off round.
Luis Enrique's side are on a 22-game unbeaten run and have won their last 10 so they couldn't be in better form.
How the bookies view it: Reds have the edge
This looks like a 50-50 tie to me but the bookies think otherwise as BoyleSports have Liverpool as 1/2 hot favourites to reach the quarter-final. PSG are 6/4 to qualify and that could be worth a punt.
For a first leg win on home soil, the French champions are 13/10 favourites, with the Reds priced at 9/5 and the draw paying 5/2.
Head to head: Nothing in it
These sides have faced off four times in Europe and it's honours even, with two wins apiece. The last meeting was in the Champions League in 2018, with Liverpool winning 3-2 at Anfield and PSG getting their revenge with a 2-1 victory in France.
Players to watch: Raising the Barcola
Liverpool look a bit weak defensively in the full-back areas so PSG winger Bradley Barcola could get a bit of joy across the two legs. A goal in the weekend rout of Lille took his tally for the season to 15 and he's 2/1 for anytime scorer at BoyleSports. The price is bigger for an assist at 17/4 with Coral.
Mo Salah's numbers are incredible this season and the Egyptian has also been involved in 20 goals in 30 knockout games in the Champions League, more than any other African player. He's 11/8 with BoyleSports for another goal and 19/5 at Coral for an assist.
Probable line-ups
Enrique is blessed with a fully-fit squad and the PSG gaffer's only headache is deciding who misses out in attack. January signing Kvitcha Kvararskhelia could get the nod ahead of Goncalo Ramos.
Liverpool only have Conor Bradley, Joe Gomez and Tyler Morton injured while youngster Amarao Nallo is banned after his red card against PSV.
Paris St-Germain: Donnarumma, Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes, Ruiz, Vitinha, Neves; Kvaratskhelia, Dembele, Barcola.
Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo, Diaz.
Anything else catch the eye?
Enrique has vowed to go on the attack and the PSG boss will know a good result at home is key to their chances of progression. So it bodes well for an open game and combining BTTS with no draw pays 21/10 at BoyleSports.
It could take these sides time to size each other up so backing most goals to come after the break appeals at 10/11 while the half-time stalemate pays 13/10.
Some stats bets catch the eye and I like the 16/5 at Paddy Power for PSG winger Barcola to be fouled over 1.5 times. Veteran PSG stopper Marquinhos also looks decent value at 6/5 with the sam firm to commit over 0.5 fouls.
