BOTH Leicester City and Aston Villa will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League when the pair lock horns at the King Power on Saturday afternoon.
The Foxes were on course to collect three points at Goodison Park on Wednesday night before conceding an injury time goal to Richarlison in the dying embers of the game.
That stalemate, on a night where my recommended Bet Builder landed, has left Leicester sitting in ninth place in the table with seven fixtures left to play.
Whilst Brendan Rodgers side have undoubtedly underachieved in the Premier League this season, they have avoided defeat in six of their last eight top-flight fixtures.
Aston Villa, on the other hand, will endeavour to snap an alarming four-game losing run in the Premier League, the most recent of which was a 4-0 trouncing at home to Tottenham, another game which brought up my main bet.
That quartet of defeats has seen Villa tumble out of the top-half of the table so Steven Gerrard will be keen to see his side stop the rot when they pitch up at the King Power this weekend.
Outright Betting
The bookies' are finding it hard to separate the teams with Leicester City narrow outsiders at 33/19 (SBK ) while a share of the spoils has been priced up at 40/17 (SBK).
Aston Villa, who emerged victorious in December's reverse fixture, enter this East Midlands encounter as marginal 19/12 (SBK) favourites.
Betting Angles
Goals are usually on the agenda when either of these teams are involved and there is plenty of scope for a repeat here with Over 2.5 Goals appealing at 5/6 with SBK.
Although Brendan Rodgers has an array of attacking talent at his disposal, clean sheets remain an issue, with only six sides shipping more than the Foxes at this stage of this season.
However, it's worth pointing out Leicester have struck at least once in a sizeable 26 of their 31 league games this term so they should be capable of troubling an Aston Villa rearguard that is not exactly renowned for being reliable.
The Villians themselves have found shutouts hard to come by this season, leaking at least one goal in 14 of their 20 Premier League games under Steven Gerrard's guidance.
What's more, 12 of those 20 matches have featured three or more match goals, not to mention 19 of Villa's overall 31 league games this term have broken the Over 2.5 Goal barrier.
With that in mind, coupled with the fact that the same selection has clicked in 19 of Leicester's 31 Premier League games this season, siding with Over 2.5 goals stands out at 5/6 (SBK).
I'll also head to the anytime goalscorer market and have a speculative punt on Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings get on the scoresheet at 16/1 (William Hill).
Leicester's set-piece leakage continues to rear its head and Villa skipper Mings looks like a prime candidate to capitalise on that aerial vulnerability at the King Power on Saturday.
