Doncaster Rovers vs BarnsleyEnglish League One, KO: 19:45 Mar 15, 2019, Keepmoat Stadium
BARNSLEY survived a stern test of their promotion credentials in midweek when they kept Sunderland at bay to gain what could be a crucial point.
A defeat would have seen the Black Cats, who have a game in hand, move just a point behind the Tykes but Barnsley held firm to preserve their four-point advantage.
Daniel Stendel's men have now gone 12 games without defeat, winning eight of them, and that's the kind of form that could well take them back to the Championship.
The Barnsley board took a bit of a punt when they appointed the German last summer but he has done an excellent job at Oakwell and striker Cauley Woodrow is the latest player to sing his praises.
Stendel will be confident of leading his side to promotion but they face another tough examination away to a Doncaster side that's sitting in sixth place.
When the sides met at Oakwell it ended 1-1, with Woodrow salvaging a point after Herbie Kane had fired Rovers into the lead.
Doncaster will be desperate to keep their play-off bid on track, with Peterborough, Blackpool and Coventry snapping at their heels.
Rovers have hit a little slump since crashing out of the FA Cup to Crystal Palace and it's now six games without a win after their 1-1 draw at Blackpool.
But four of those games have been away from home and they should improve back at the Keepmoat. I can see this ending in another stalemate, which is a best 5/2 with Bet 365. To increase the odds, try a repeat of the 1-1 draw earlier in the season, which is 6/1 with Bet Victor.
I can see this being a tight game with so much at stake for both sides so go for under 2.5 goals at 10/11 with Marathonbet.
The loss of top scorer Kieffer Moore for the rest of the season through injury is a big blow to Barnsley as they bid to get over the line.
He hit 18 goals before being crocked last month but Woodrow also boasts 14 for the campaign and the on-loan Fulham forward looks the best bet for a Barnsley goal here.
Woodrow is 9/2 to break the deadlock with Boylesports and I like the look of him at 13/8 with Coral for anytime scorer.
Doncaster are boosted by the return of 22-goal John Marquis from suspension, with boss Grant McCann labelling him the “best striker in League One”.
