Denmark are aiming to assume control of Group H in the European Championship qualifiers as they travel to San Marino on Tuesday. The Danes have been near perfect in recent times and should have too much quality for San Marino, who are without a win or a goal in the qualifiers.
It has been a typically poor qualifying campaign for San Marino, who are usually there just to make up the numbers. They are currently bottom of Group H having lost all seven matches so far while also failing to score a single goal.
San Marino head into Tuesday’s clash off the back of a 3-0 defeat to Northern Ireland last time out in the qualifiers. As always, they were no match for the Northern Irish and failed to muster a single attempt on target throughout the contest.
There is a huge gulf in quality between San Marino and the rest of the teams as evidenced by the results in the group. Not only do they struggle to create much, Fabrizio Constantini’s men have suffered some of the heaviest defeats in the campaign, including a 4-0 hammering in the reverse fixture with Denmark.
Denmark continued their steady progress in the qualifying campaign; they picked up a 3-1 victory over Kazakhstan last time out. They raced to a three-goal lead thanks to a Jonas Wind effort and a brace from Robert Skov and were able to hold on despite the Kazakh’s pulling one back.
The result keeps Denmark well on course to qualify for next year’s tournament as they are now level on 16 points with Group H leaders Slovenia. With the Slovenians facing a tricky trio to Northern Ireland on Tuesday, Kasper Hjulmand’s men can climb to the top of the standings if results go their way.
Denmark have shown some attacking verve throughout the qualifiers, scoring at least three goals more than once. They have also been decent defensively, keeping clean sheets in two of their last three matches.

Jonas Wind is often a regular source of goals for Denmark having found the net three times in the last five qualifying matches. The Wolfsburg striker was also on target in the reverse fixture and is priced at 33/100 by Unibet to maintain his scoring run.
With San Marino failing to score in any of their matches so far, Denmark will be targeting another shutout on Tuesday. Simon Kjaer and Andreas Christensen often feature at centre-back and could lead the Danes to a win to nil at 1/5 by BoyleSports.
