Since claiming a 2-1 victory over Leipzig back in September, it has all gone downhill for Club Brugge in Group A of the Champions League. They have lost their last two matches and suffered a 4-1 defeat to Manchester City in their previous fixture.
It has been a generally rough time for Club Brugge lately as they are winless in their last three matches across all competitions. Philippe Clement’s men have lost twice in that run and head into Wednesday’s clash off the back of a 2-1 defeat to Mechelen in the Belgian First Division on Friday.

RB Leipzig have struggled to find their best form throughout the Champions League and are winless after four matches. They can no longer progress to the knockout stage of the competition but are still in the mix for a Europa League place.
Jesse Marsch’s men have shown some improvement in recent times and are unbeaten in their last six matches across all competitions. They have claimed three wins in that run and earned a 2-2 draw with PSG in their previous Champions League fixture.
However, Leipzig’s good run was ended last Saturday as they were beaten 2-0 at Hoffenheim in a Bundesliga fixture. They were let down by the same defensive problems that have seen them concede 13 goals in just four Champions League matches.
