Celtic have suffered plenty of pain in Europe already this season and there could be another dose of despair when they take on Benfica away from home in the Europa League.
The Hoops crashed landed in the second-tier competition after blowing a 4-0 aggregate against LASK in their Champions League play-off.
That was followed by a 3-1 home loss to Ferencvaros in their Europa League opener, which came in the middle of two bruising derby defeats to Rangers.
Martin O'Neill's men bounced back with a 2-0 win at Motherwell on their return from the international break, with two bets landing for me.
It was a much improved display but they still don't look ready to face a side with as much firepower as Benfica.
The Eagles have been Champions League regulars for decades and new boss Marco Silva was backed heavily in the transfer market this summer.
Benfica have won nine of their last 10 games in all competitions and if they hit top form in Lisbon it could be another painful European road trip for the Hoops.
How the bookies see it: More Hoops hurt
Celtic have been written off for this one, with Bet365 pricing them at 10/1. Benfica are red-hot favourites at 1/4 and even the draw is pretty hefty at 5/1.
Head to head: Homing in on the points
These sides have faced off eight times in Europe and home advantage has been a big factor. Benfica have won all four meetings at the Stadium of Light but have managed just a single draw from their four trips to Parkhead.
They last faced off in the Champions League back in 2012 when the Eagles edged a 2-1 win in Lisbon.
Players to watch: Dodi out to impress
Silva has been rotating his squad for the European games and winger Dodi Lukebakio made the most of his chance by netting as they won 2-0 away to Milan last time out. The Belgian could get some joy against the Hoops and is 10/11 for a goal, while an assist is more tempting at 3/1.
Mika Baur was Celtic's standout player against Motherwell on Sunday, with the new German international a big threat from midfield. He looks overpriced at 11/4 for a shot on target in Lisbon after netting against Fenerbahce and is 10/1 for another goal.
Probable line-ups
Benfica only have winger Jakub Kaminski and midfielder Enzo Barrenechea out. Silva may shuffle his pack again for Europe.
Stopper Cameron Carter-Vickers missed out for Celtic on Sunday and is a doubt for this one. Alistair Johnston and Callum Osmand remain out.
Benfica: Trubin, Circati, El Karouani, Araujo, Banjaqui, Aursnes, Sudakov, Schjelderup, Palhinha, Lukebakio, Duran.
Celtic: Sinisalo, Donovan, Trusty, Scales, Tierney, McGregor, Baur, Sorensen, Nygren, Duran, Hogh.
Anything else catch the eye?
Celtic have come up short against decent opposition repeatedly this season and Benfica are by far the strongest side they've faced so far.
So it could be a long night for the Scottish champions and combining Benfica HT-FT with over 2.5 goals pays a decent 23/20 with Bet365.
Young full-back Colby Donovan is impressing for the Hoops but he's still a bit rash in the challenge. He's 5/2 to go into the book and looks good value at 6/5 for over 1.5 fouls.
