Barcelona Women and Real Madrid Women will go head-to-head for the third time in eight days on Wednesday, 2 April, when they meet for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final.
The Catalans are in the driving seat heading into kick-off following a 6-2 victory in Madrid last week, and they will be looking to complete the job in a similar style at the Camp Nou.
Do Real Madrid have any chance of pulling off a stunning comeback, or should Barcelona already be preparing for their semi-final? Check out our full match prediction below.
How the bookies view it: Barcelona start as favourites
Barcelona are huge favourites to win the match, with some bookmakers pricing them as short as 1/16 to win on the night. Real Madrid are rank outsiders, priced at 25/1 to get the win, while the draw is also considered to be beyond Los Blancos at 10/1.
Head-to-head: Barca dominance
Incredibly, this will be the sixth time that these two teams have faced each other this season, and the previous results don't make for pretty reading if you are a Real Madrid supporter. Barcelona have won all five by an aggregate score of 19-2, which will surely concern the Real Madrid hierarchy.
Players to watch: Barca forwards to run riot
There will be plenty of Real Madrid defenders with mental scars from this season in relation to their matches against Barcelona, and none of them will be looking forward to facing Ewa Pajor and Claudia Pina on Wednesday night.
The fact that the match is Barcelona Women's first match back at the Camp Nou in over 1,000 days is only likely to make their effervescent forwards even livelier, which can only be bad news for the Los Blancos backline.
So far this season, Pajor and Pina have combined for 45 goals across all competitions, with the former finding particular joy in the Women's Champions League, where she has six goals to her name.
If Real Madrid are to even threaten a comeback, they will not only have to keep these two quiet, but they will also need their best players to be on top form. This includes Caroline Weir, who has scored five UCL goals so far this season.
Predicted line-ups
Both sides have reason to rest players on Wednesday, but given that the match is being played at the Camp Nou, both managers are almost obliged to field their strongest possible teams. Barcelona are set to be without Laia Aleixandri and Aitana Bonmati, while Real Madrid are missing Teresa Abelleira and Signa Bruun.
Barcelona Women: MaColl – Batlle, Paredes, Camara, Brugts – Serrajordi, Guijarro, Putellas – Lopez, Pina, Pajor
Real Madrid Women: Misa – Navarro, Mendez, Lakrar, Holmgaard – Toletti, Angeldal – Del Castillo, Weir, Caicedo – Feller
Anything else catch the eye?
Barcelona have won the Champions League three times in the last six years, but this current iteration is arguably their best-ever team. They are sweeping teams away with ease and have won each of their last four matches by a margin of three goals or more. Given the short odds on a straight Barcelona win, adding -2.5 or -3 handicap could be the play on Wednesday.
