SlipsTips has cast his eye over the Olympic football matchday three slate, and he has identified a goal-based bet in what looks set to be a dramatic climax in Group B.
Ukraine vs Argentina (Tuesday, 16:00)
One of the standout fixtures in the final round of group games at the Olympics sees Ukraine face off with Argentina in Lyon on Tuesday afternoon.
With all four sides in the section locked on three points, anything and everything is still possible going into matchday three this midweek.
After opening their Olympics campaign with a controversial 2-1 defeat against Morocco, Argentina breathed some much-needed life into their quest to qualify with a 3-1 win over Iraq on Saturday.
Ukraine have found themselves on a similar path up until this juncture, coming away empty-handed from their opener with Iraq before rebounding with a 2-1 win over Morocco.
Consequently, Group B is heading towards a grandstand finish, and the bookmakers’ odds suggest Argentina will progress, with La Albiceleste short priced 8/13 favourites to secure the win that would seal their passage to the knockout round.
However, given the current state of play in the section, supporting over 2.5 goals looks the more attractive option to get behind at 4/5 with William Hill.
