THERE wasn't much Sunday football – but we produced our fair share of winners.
I was three out of three on my npower recommendations thanks to Huddersfield, no to both teams to score at Huddersfield who beat Notts County 3-0 and yes to both teams to score as Gillingham won 2-1 at Cheltenham. The treble paid 7-1.
And Euro and world football expert Paul Watson advised a single on Neymar at 11-8 to score at any time for Brazil and Scotland. The Santos wonderkid netted first and last in a 2-0 win at the Emirates.
Monday night's match is a pretty drab looking affair from Boundary Park where Oldham entertain Tranmere. “Entertain” may be pushing it a little as Paul Dickov's home side have netted just two goals in 10 games and taken one point from their last nine.
The former Scotland striker must be tearing his hair out at such a poor record in front of goal and Tranmere must be rubbing their hands in glee at the thought of facing such a powderpuff attack.
Tranmere are no great shakes themselves and sit two points above the drop zone. But the past couple of weeks have saw improved displays and last time out they won 1-0 at Colchester.
A repeat display would do them nicely and 1-0 pays 9-1 with Coral.
I can't see Tranmere losing this one and Stan James go 11-4 for an away win while draw or Tranmere on the double chance is 8-11 with Coral. A Tranmere clean sheet pays 3-1 with Coral while 0-0 is 9-1 at Skybet.
Oldham are a best 6-5 with Ladbrokes but must find a way to goal and that's the problem. Enoch Shownumi hit Tranmere's winner at Colchester and is 15-2 with bet365 to score first.
But the man who could light up the Sky cameras is Dale Jennings. He is unlikely to be a League One player next season with suitors lining up to prise him away from Prenton Park.
Jennings is back from injury and raring to go again. Consider him at 17-2 with bet365 to break the deadlock.
