If I was offered one bet on today's Challenge Cup semi-finals it would be El Allagui to score first for Falkirk at Annan.

The striker enhanced his reputation with a double in the League Cup defeat of Rangers and hit the winner at Hamilton last week.

Third Division Annan could find him a handful and he is 3-1 at McBookie.com to break the deadlock.

Falkirk have been this season's cupstarts, sitting 90 minutes from a final and causing the biggest surprise of the season with that 3-2 defeat of the champions.

Galabank is never an easy place to go but the Bairns look decent value at 4-5 with the likes of Blue Square and Stan James to beat their Third Division rivals.

The other semi between Hamilton and Livingston is tougher to call. The sides drew 1-1 at New Douglas Park earlier in the season and there could be a repeat result. The stalemate is 5-2 with firms including William Hill.

Recommendations

El Allagui to score first

(3-1, McBookie.com)

Hamilton v Livingston both teams to score

(5-6, Skybet)
