OCT 7: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

IT'S been another landmark week in the world of both teams to score.

Bookies paid out millions on Tuesday when out of 15 featured games only Scunthorpe failed to net.

Coral alone handed over more than £1milliion as their 10 per cent, 20 per cent and 33 per cent bonuses on accumulators kicked in.

There are always going to be more games up in domestic football than internationals but I'll give Friday's games a go.

I'm trying to avoid ones that shout “No” to both teams to score such as Holland v Moldova, France v Albania and Latvia v Malta.

My choices start with Azerbaijan v Austria. It was 2-2 when the sides me in Vienna earlier in the campaign and although they have just seven points Azerbaijan did score in both fixtures against Germany.

Austria are only a point better off but have netted 12 times so both sides to score looks the call on an evenly-contested match. This pays 19-20 with William Hill.

Next I'm turning to Wales v Switzerland. The Welsh have shown an improvement after beating Montenegro at home and losing just 1-0 away to England in the last double header.

Gary Speed's side netted twice against Montenegro and will be confident against the Swiss even though they lost 4-1 away.

The Swiss drew 2-2 at Wembley so will fancy their chances of finding the target in Cardiff. This one pays 21-20 with William Hill.

Next I'm trying Czech Republic v Spain. The Spanish are already through but should be able to play in a relaxed style that Scotland hopes brings a win.

Spain always so score but will the Czechs hit the target? They managed to do so in a 2-1 defeat in Spain and drew 2-2 in Scotland on their last outing. A draw will probably be enough to earn them a play-off spot so back them to hit the target at 21-20 with William Hill.

Complete a fourfold with Turkey against Germany. The Germans have qualified with a 100 per cent record but have named a strong side for the visit to Istanbul.

Germany have rattled in 28 goals in eight games, including three against the Turks at home. But they conceded in both games against minnows Azerbaijan so that will give the play-off chasing Turks some hope. This one pays 8-11 at Skybet.
