IT'S a big night of football across Europe and in Spain and Italy in general.
Here's some team news and thoughts on the match ahead of my top tips going up in the morning.
Valencia coach Miroslav Djukic needs a win after his side's 4-1 thrashing by local rivals Villarreal. They host bottom club Almeria who have lost five consecutive matches but are without midfield talisman Ever Banega who is suspended. Almeria lost 3-0 to Real Sociedad last time put but welcome back midfielder Suso.
Real Madrid welcome midfielder Xabi Alonso to the squad for the visit of Sevilla and Karim Benzema is likely to start up front. Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is hoping to bounce back from defeat to Barca last Saturday against a side unbeaten in five.
Real Sociedad are hoping to put their poor start behind them by clinching a third straight win at the expense of Real Valladolid.
Valladolid will be minus former Man United striker Manucho who will be out for at least three weeks while a foot injury.
In Italy, Juve beat Genoa 2-0 on Sunday to clinch their fifth win in six league games and are five points adrift of leaders Roma.
They haven't lost at home since January 6 to Sampdoria and should take care of a Catania side now bossed by De Canio whose first game was a 0-0 draw with Sassuolo.
Catania will be boosted by the return of defenders Nicola Legrottaglie and Pablo Alvarez from suspension. Fernando Llorente will partner Juve's top scorer Carlos Tevez in attack.
Verona coach Andrea Mandorlini expects his team to recover from last weekend's defeat at Inter Milan when they host Sampdoria.
Saturday's reverse brought an end to a run of four games without defeat and saw Verona slip to sixth in the table. Verona have won all of their games at home and face a side who have won their last two.
Sampdoria coach Delio Rossi has striker Citadin Eder back to partner Manolo Gabbiadini in attack. Verona will be without defender Evangelos Moras who was sent off against Inter for violent conduct.
Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin was disappointed with his side's 1-0 defeat to 10-man Roma and wants them to hit back quickly at Sassuolo. It was Udinese's third defeat in four games and saw them drop to 11th.
Udinese have lost all four games on the road this season but hope to stop the rot at the Citta del Tricolore stadium.
Sassuolo have the worst defence alongside Bologna, with 22 goals conceded, but Udinese could rest veteran striker Antonio di Natale ahead of Sunday's game against Inter Milan and hand Reginaldo Maicosuel a start alongside Luis Muriel.
AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is feeling the heat after just three wins from their opening nine games. The Rossoneri lie 10th in the standings, 16 points adrift of leaders Roma and 11 behind Juventus, who occupy the last Champions League qualifying spot.
Milan's main problem has been their poor form away from home with just two points from a possible 15 away from the San Siro so they will hope to see off Lazio.
The Romans lie seventh but have taken just one point away from home this season and will hope for better things with the return of striker Miroslav Klose. Klose came on as a second-half sub against Cagliari last weekend and hit the opener.
Fiorentina tackle Napoli on the back of three straight wins in all competitions and have lost just once this season, at Inter Milan.
They have scored 19 league goals in nine games but their attack will be tested by a Napoli side who have conceded just six.
Giuseppe Rossi, who is Serie A's top scorer with eight goals, will lead Fiorentina's forward line but defender Gonzalo Rodriguez is banned. Napoli's Giandomenico Mesto, Valon Behrami and Jose Callejon are set to start having been rested against Torino.
Bologna coach Stefano Pioli wants his side to follow up their first victory of the season with another triumph against Cagliari.
The Rossoblu beat Livorno 1-0 on Sunday to end their unwanted record as the only team in the division yet to record a win and move off the foot of the table.
Cagliari are unbeaten at home and stand four points clear of Bologna who will be without banned striker Alessandro Diamanti and defenders Jose Crespo and Marek Cech.
Livorno head into their home game against Torino on the back of four straight defeats and are now bottom.
Their last victory came back on September 15 and the pressure is mounting on coach Davide Nicola.
Rivals Torino are also desperate to return to winning ways after five games without one.
But they are still without Matteo Brighi, Cesare Bovo, Omar El Kaddouri, Marcelo Larrondo and Guillermo Rodriguez.
In France, Monaco manager Claudio Ranieri will rotate his squad for the cup clash at Reims. He will hand a debut to keeper Sergio Romero, who joined on loan from Sampdoria in August, and has challenged other fringe men to make their mark.
