OCT 29: SFL TREBLE

IT'S Halloween on Monday so let's hope our lower-league man Joe Wallace has bookies terrified as he hunts for a winning treble.

We kick off this weekend in the Irn-Bru First Division and Falkirk's home clash with Raith Rovers.

Steven Pressley's Bairns go into this encounter on a major high after knocking Dundee United out of the League Cup at the quarter-final stage on Tuesday night.

They are just three points off the top of the table in second spot and know a win would seal a memorable week for them.

Falkirk are unbeaten in their last five matches but four of the last five clashes between the sides have been separated by a single goal.

I reckon it will be another tight affair but am tipping Falkirk to round off a great week by taking all three points at 1-1 with bet365 and William Hill.

We stay in the First Division and turn our attention to Hamilton's home clash with Ayr. The Honest Men go into this one boosted after sending SPL side St Mirren crashing out of the League Cup on Tuesday night.

But I reckon Billy Reid's side will bring Brian Reid's shocktroops crashing back down to earth. Ayr are rock bottom of the First Division for a very good reason and I can't see them improving their dire away form this weekend.

Hamilton ran out 2-1 winners the last time the sides met and I am going for another win with Accies at 8-15 with William Hill.

We finish up in the Third Division and Stranraer's home clash with Queen's Park. The Blues have been in excellent form as they have moved to within three points of the top of the table and know a win over Gardner Speirs' men would send them into pole position.

They go into this one after thrashing South of Scotland side Wigtown and Bladnoch 9-0 in the Scottish Cup last week and must fancy their chances of taking all three points. I am going for Stranraer to complete my SFL treble at 5-6, widely available.
