CAUTION is advised as usual on Europa League games because we know a lot of favourites will prove to be a letdown.
One way to go is to back both teams to score or over 2.5 goals as generally matches produce more strikes than Champions League matches – unless you have Zlatan Ibrahimovic in your line-up.
I'm starting with both to score between Lyon and Rijeka. Lyon have had a poor start to the season and already trail leaders PSG by 12 points. They've drawn three of their last four and a 1-1 draw last weekend against Bordeaux was an improvement on a 5-1 loss at Montpellier.
Croats Rijeka aren't that well known and have made a poor start to Group I but they have netted in 10 of their last 12 away games and could be on target.
Next look at both to net at Elfsborg v Esbjerg. It's a clash between two evenly-matched Scandinavian outfits and a score draw is a possibility.
Esbjerg's last six have seen both sides on target and they netted at home to Red Bull and won 2-1 at Standard Liege. Four out of Elfsborg's last six have brought up this bet.
Add over 2.5 goals at Slovan Liberec v Sevilla. Four of the Spaniards' last six have been over 2.5 and the only game one side failed to net was at home to Freiburg. Slovan crashed 4-2 at Synot at the weekend and in the Europe League beat Estoril 2-1 and drew 2-2 at Freiburg.
Complete the fourfold with over 2.5 goals at Dynamo Kiev v Thun. The Ukrainian side have had their shooting boots on with 15 goals in four games including nine at home to Metalurg.
Thun's two Europa League ties have finished in 2-1 defeats so another will bring up the over 2.5 goals bet.

My preferential bet has always been BTTS but recently I have gone the way of over 2.5 in matches, Italian tips were excellent on Sunday Mr F, last night I swayed from BTTS to over 2.5 in the Real and Leverkusen games and turned a loser into a winner. With the margin so small between the two bets I just feel price wise the over 2.5 is going to be my bet of choice from now on. I think I will be doing Lyon and Slovan BTTS and over 2.5 in two seperate trebles with Kiev over 2.5 then lump the lot on Elfsborg!

Like the look of these, Mr F. Made some excellent profit yesterday on the any time goalscorer market but not going overboard with stakes as the Uefa Cup (old habits n all that) can be a minefield.
In terms if O2.5, I like the look of the Salzburg v Liege game. May add that to the old perms. I can see it at 1.6 at the minute which looks good considering a free-scoring Red Bull could conceivably cover it themselves.
On an unrelated note, seriously, just how good is Ibrahimovic?! I hear the talk of over-rated a lot but, my word, the boy can score a goal!
