OUR Scottish Football League expert Joe Wallace has been laid up all week with a bad back.
So in his absence let’s hope I can continue on from his recent winning run and come up with a treble to put the smile back on his face.
I start off in the Irn-Bru Second Division and focus on Arbroath’s trip to face Airdrie. The Diamonds were at their sparkling best last week as they thrashed Gala Fairydean 11-0 in the Scottish Cup third round.
But Airdrie go into this one second bottom of the table and a massive 16 points behind the Gayfield men.
Arbroath have won their last five matches and are streets ahead of Gala so take them at 5-4 with William Hill.
Staying in the Second Division and I'm focusing on Cowdenbeath’s home clash with Dumbarton. The Blue Brazil have been going well in recent weeks and proudly top the table.
And with five wins out of their last six matches it seems only right to back them against a Sons side who have triumphed only once in the last eight clashes between the clubs. Take Beath to win at 8-13, widely available.
We finish off in the First Division and Ross County’s tricky away clash to face Livingston. County are on a great run under manager Derek Adams and go into this one in pole position at the top of the table.
They won’t find it easy against a Livi side who have won three of their last six matches but County have been victorious in their last six games and confidence is soaring in the Dingwall camp. Go for County as the final team in our SFL selection at 17-10 with William Hill.
SFL treble
Arbroath
Cowdenbeath
Ross County
Really like the look of this treble pal, well done!
