NOV 10: BETWAY ENHANCED TREBLE

MY last three trebles posted on the site in midweek have come in so hopefully I'll follow with the enhanced Saturday offering.

The card last week was dominated by cup ties so I focused on the big guns but Chelsea and Man City let me down as they were held to draws.

I'm hoping to fare better this weekend with Everton v Sunderland, Coventry v Scunthorpe and Elgin v Berwick.

So let's start with Everton and I just can’t see them failing to beat shot-shy Sunderland at home.

Davie Moyes’ men have been a revelation all season and were superb at Fulham last week before conceding a last-gasp equaliser. Marouane Fellaini is unplayable at times and this looks like it will be a long 90 minutes for Martin O’Neill’s visitors.

Next up I’m on a Coventry side looking up under new boss Mark Robins. After a terrible start they are bidding for three wins in a row and should get it against inconsistent Scunthorpe.

There couldn’t be a bigger contrast in their last two results – a 4-0 FA Cup battering at League Two Gillingham followed by a 4-1 midweek league win at Walsall. We don’t know which Scunny side will turn up at the Ricoh but hopefully they will be outscored.

Elgin were sensational as they defeated Second Division East Fife in the Scottish Cup last week and were rewarded when they were paired with Rangers in the fourth round. The result ended a run of draws for Ross Jack's side and they should take care of a Berwick outfit who have only won one of their last four.
