Boston Celtics vs Milwaukee Bucks: Bucks to win with handicap (+9.5) @ 9/10
The first on the list of my NBA picks for tonight is a duel between two teams vying for the top seed in the East, the reigning champions Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks. The Celtics have started the season strongly, with three wins in a row, two of which were quite convincing, while the Bucks have one win and a couple of losses.
So, the Bucks are clearly struggling to find their form, but they are one of the best teams in the East and while I don't see them winning in Boston, I can see them putting up a good fight. After all, last season the Bucks have won two of the four meetings with the Celtics and the other two games have ended in three-points win for the Celtics.
Toronto Raptors vs Denver Nuggets: Nuggets to win with handicap (-9) @ 9/10
It's been a rough start of the season for the Nuggets since they've lost twice at home to the Clippers and the Thunder, while the Raptors have one win in three games they've played so far. That being said, the Raptors can't expect too many wins this season, while Denver are supposed to battle for the top in the Western Conference.
The Nuggets are simply a much better team and despite having a weak bench and struggling to make shots at the start of this season, they are the clear favourites tonight. With the urgency of winning their first game of the season, the Nuggets will take this game as seriously as possible and led by the three-time MVP Nikola Jokic, I can see them beating the Raptors in double digits.
Houston Rockets vs San Antonio Spurs: Under 220.5 total points @ 9/10
Just a few days after the Spurs beat the Rockets, ending Houston's four-game winning streak in H2H duels, San Antonio will once again host the Rockets tonight and I expect a similar game, not in terms of who will win, but in terms of points.
After all, three of the last four duels between these two teams have gone under the line of 220.5 total points and I can see that being the case in this game too, especially since the Spurs aren't a great offensive team, but they have one of the top defensive players in the league in Victor Wembanyama.
