THE day started badly but ended OK with a Top Treble winner.
AC Milan failing to score in the early Serie A game was the only loser on the both to score treble while my Louis Moult and Motherwell draw no bet Super Singles went down.
They were the same bets that won last Thursday when Well beat Aberdeen 3-0 in the Betfred Cup but it shows no two games are the same. Dons boss Derek McInnes went with three centre-halves and nullified the threat of Moult in the main.
The Top Treble was Inter, Lazio and Bayer Leverkusen and over 2.5 goals at Bayer kept the Betting Club effort alive. In the fight to go from £10 to £1000 I'm up to £140.
Well done to Greg for his over 2.5 goals nap at St Mirren v Queen of the South and to all the other winners.
It's a much quieter tonight ahead of the Champions League games with Arsenal v West Brom the main even. The Gunners are 1-3 to win so I'll need to see if there's better value.
Real Betis, fresh from their win at Real Madrid last week, entertain Levante in La Liga and there are other games dotted about the Continent.
I've picked out a Top Treble and if I hadn't reduced the acca losses from around 20pts a week or so ago to almost evens I wouldn't bother.
I was impressed with Arsenal in holding Chelsea and the way they came to beat Cologne and Arsene Wenger's men should beat West Brom. They've won six in a row against the Baggies and conceded just one goal against a side who don't score many.
Arsenal to win to nil could be the call but I'm going Arsenal -1AH which is around 1-2.
Add over 2.5 goals at Malmo v Elfsborg and Jong Ajax v Telstar – both of which good based on stats.

All right Liam, how good are Kolstad and Rosenberg on the corner front? I find the lower leagues hit and miss on these, is the O2.5 more likely? Just wanting to but a safe one into an acca? Cheers mate
Hi Phillis, the lower leagues can be very variable but I also think that sometimes the bookies don’t put as much time into getting the correct lines so there can be value.
As an indication, Kolstad in their last 5 games have had – with team corners first, total match corners in brackets:
6 (11) – 9 (16) – 7 (14) – 8 (15) – 8 (12)
For Rosenborg 2 the same stats are (can’t get stats for all games, but these are the last 5 I can find):
8 (8) – 4 (10) – 7 (16) – 9 (12) 8 (10)
So as you can see only one of those ten fixtures has gone under the 9 corners used in the double, with 7/10 over 10.5. From the team corners, it’d be unusual if each team didn’t get 5 or more corners each. If the 10.0 corner lie appears in play after a few minutes, I’ll be on that.
Over 2.5 mgls should be safe but it’s reflected in the poor odds – 2/9 I think. Good luck whatever you decide!

Back to Turkey for one pick today.
The last time Balikesirspor played in the league I hopped on their game to see goals after noticing an astonishing trend of consecutive matches that they had played resulting in BTTS. Since then, they have played a cup game against a side 3 tiers below them in the Turkish footballing pyramid. BTTS landed again (1-1).
That means that Balikesirspor have now seen the BTTS market land in their last 16 fixtures – friendlies included. In fact, it has landed in 20 of the last 22 games stretching back to last season. Of those 20, 17 saw the BTTS and Overs market land. It has landed in all five league games this season and did so too in their two recorded pre-season fixtures.
Those 5 league games have averaged 4.2 goals per game, and today’s visitors are the only side in the league with a higher goals per game average so far. Rizespor’s 5 games have seen an average of 4.6 goals – 4 of them seeing BTTS and Overs. The single anomaly is that Erzurum BB failed to net in a 2-0 defeat to Rizespor – and have gone on to fail to net in all their 3 away games.
The only two previous meetings between the sides saw two 2-2 draws a few years back and I would not be surprised to see the same sort of scoreline again today.
