Top Football Tips

MONDAY was going to be a no-bet day but I dug deep to come up with a winning treble.

I picked out Stuttgart and Dundalk & over 1.5 goals – then added Glentoran after a good write-up by ade.

Happy with that and well done to all the winners including Greg with his Scottish Reserves double.

Tuesday's another difficult card with National League and EFL Trophy games. There are better tipsters than me on the site who follow the National League so I won't be putting anything up of my choosing.

We all know the EPL Trophy games are a nightmare and while team news can help it's almost a case of doing a random goals bet.

Having won on Monday I've picked out a both to score treble from the National League and check out Greg's goals tips.

Not a lot of reasoning for my but either on recent form or h2h these all look good for goals.

Remember to check out WeLoveBetting for their latest tips and video bets.

    Evening gents

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 National league time tomorrow which means total goals special

There are 10 games but the bookies are getting wise. We were getting 33 goals for 12 games at 11/8 last midweek – being offered 29+ goals at 6/4 but with two games less

27+’goals is 4/5 and the likely NAP

On a sad note, Osman Sow has joined Kilmarnock from Dundee United on loan. A real blow for my Dundee United Reserves home games for goals as he was a scoring two goals a game.

    ⚠️Team news alert⚠️

    Hamilton vs Dundee United 2pm

I’ve been contacted on twitter advising United are playing an u18’s side

They don’t often travel with many 1st team players and with Sow and Aird departing It’s really good info to have.

Hamiltons price has already shortened from 4/6 into 4/11 so the value may be on goals and Hamilton HT/FT at 20/21 will have a strong chance.

    Keep an eye out

    ⭐ Shortees Nap ⭐

Its been a long week and i for one am glad to see EFL cup and glad to see internationals coming, no good sunday with ath madrid 2-3 failing and glad to get it back today with stuttgart and i watched the match on bt sport 1 and how it finished 2-1 i will never know but ill take the win

we move forward into a tuesday card with 10 National league games and 21 EFL trophy games to feast upon

3 games that have caught my eye 👀👀 and they are :

    ⚽Chesterfield v Halifax
    ⚽Portsmouth v Crawley
    ⚽Woking v Torquay

    🏟Chesterfield v Halifax🏟

i will start by saying i fancy goals here and then why !

Chesterfield as highlighted by me on saturday have had 17 in a row gagmes over 1.5 goals at 1-1.2-0.2-2.2-2.1-2.2-2.2-2.1-2 etc

halifax have had last 8 out of 10 seen 1.5 goals and they have scored in 9 of those games with 2-2-4-1-1-2-4-2-2 team goals

that ticks that for me ✅

    🏟Pompey v crawley🏟

pompey 4/9 favourites and i never back a team to win (rarely) on EFL cup nights.
pompey last 6 games all 1.5 tick, 1-1.0-2.3-3.2-1.2-0.3-0
crawley last 10 saw them score in all 10 and 8 out of last 10 seen 1.5 achieved 1-0.1-0.2-3.1-2.2-2.2-3.2-0.2-1.1-2.3-1

that ticks that for me ✅

    🏟Woking v torquay🏟

again another fixture dont need to say too much about as torquay been good to me and anyone who reads my stuff will know this

    start with torquay
last 10 in a row all see 1.5 achieved and them scoring in 8 of them
woking on a 6 game unbeaten streak and saw them score in 9 out of 10 and only 2 losses in 10 and team goals scored where 3-2-2-4-2-1-0-2-2-3-3-

that ticks that for me ✅

    ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

So all in all I’m taking these 3 as my NAP over 1.5 goals

    📊 over 1.5 goals at 📊

    ⏰ All 3 kick off at 7.45pm

    🔻Chesterfield v Halifax 1/3
    🔻Pompey v Crawley 1/5
    🔻Woking v Torquay 1/4

    📈 treble pays 1/1 (skybet)

    Goodluck all 👍

Morning lads . Well done all winners last night I only had the one bet and it lost .

Norway Women v England Women .
I know this is a friendly, but the prices for bookings are worth a punt.
Over 2 cards in the match 13/5. bet365
Over 1 card in the match for Norway 3/1. bet365
    20 + Enland booking points 7/2 . skybet
Over one card each team. 18/1 Bet365
There was 3 bookings in Englands friendly last week against Belgium

  7. paddy gooner 5 years ago

I know it’s not usually wise to bet on these EFL trophy games, but this one caught my attention last night and after sleeping on it and researching some more I am still confident so here goes:

    Ipswich Town vs Spurs U21

The Tractor Boys of Ipswich Town have only 2 losses in the last eleven matches they’ve played since being relegated from the Championship and tonight they welcome Spurs U21 team to Portman Park for their first ever appearance in the EFL Trophy.

The visiting youngsters are no strangers to this tournament, having only one win and 7 losses from their last eight appearances. They are required by law to play at least 4 players under 21 but they never play any of the first team.

Paul Lambert’s side also must abide by player rules (or pay a £5000 fine), and only 5 of his squad members are ineligible. I feel that even a reserve home side can easily beat the Academy team that got knocked out of this tournament by an average Oxford United side last time around.

Home Win pays 3/4 at Ladbrokes. Good Luck!

    • crofty 5 years ago

Just a word of warning on this Paul Lambert has already come out and said he can’t understand why we have this extra competition.

It will be a mainly young side plus one or two coming back from injury who line up for Town tonight.

This of course doesn’t mean a defeat but our record in cups is awful and can’t see this being a priority this season.

    • Mr Fixit 5 years ago

Most managers take the same stance – I wouldn’t back anyone without seeing final lineups.

    • paddy gooner 5 years ago

Thanks Crofty. No wonder it looked too good to be true! So it will be a small punt for me then.

    • paddy gooner 5 years ago

Job done now. I knew that any team Ipswich put forward could easily beat the spurs academy.

  8. Chip96 5 years ago

Morning lads, hope we’re all well

    NAP for today

    Barrow v Hartlepool over 2.5 goals @ 10/11 (Marathon)

Was hoping Barrow double chance would be a bigger price as I think they can take something from this game, but 4/11 is far too short for me

A little four fold in the English National League as well:

    Barrow v Hartlepool BTTS
Notts County v Solihull Moors BTTS
Wrexham v Maidenhead over 1.5 goals
Harrogate Town v Chorley over 1.5 goals

    4.51/1 (Marathon)

Small stake on Barrow to win & BTTS @ 15/4 (Bet365)

    Good luck today

  9. scampi 5 years ago

Post as yesterday but now with NAP added

National league seeing far more goals than last season when 4 or 5 1-0 scorelines a week was fairly common, this week all 12 games went over 1.5 for the first time

    39 goals
    All 12 games  o1.5 goals
    10/12 btts
    10/12 o2.5 goals

I noticed when looking at each team that the earlier weeks of the season seemed to have less matches over the 1.5 and 2.5 goal lines. However, the last three sets of fixtures have seen 10/12 followed by 11/12 then finally all 12/12 fixtures hitting the over 1.5 goals mark.

As a quick aside here It’s perhaps worth noting that the national league has a punishing early schedule and that clubs will have played 9 games in 30 days by next Tuesday’s fixtures I’m not sure if this plays a part in the fixtures seemingly seeing more goals or not

    A few extra quick observations.

Chesterfield and Ebbsfleet are in the bottom 4 but have seen both teams scoring in 7 out of 8 games.

Chesterfield (my team 😔) are once again draw kings with 5 draws featuring btts (2 x 1-1 , 3 x 2-2) but are without a win

Wrexham have added extra firepower this season but seen to have lost the defensive quality that saw them win so many games 1-0 and 2-0 last year with the Welsh side seeing 7/8 of their games going btts.

There are plenty of teams with 6/8 games going btts and if you know the teams to avoid this season looks like it will be a significantly better league for goals betting than last season.

I’ll add a few details for each team

    Woking (1st W 7 D 0 L 1 GF 16 GA 6)

    Best bets

Probably going to stick close to home with Chesterfield. Halifax are a tempting 5/2 to win despite us being 3rd bottom and them being 2nd. We’ve been fairly poor so far this season, attacking wise we aren’t bad but defensively we have been a shambles, btts has come up in 7/8 games so in a lot of ways I’d be more inclined to back halifax o1.5 than the wdw market (we’ve conceded o1.5 in 6/8 games)

We have had 3 2-2 draws this season and in total 5/8 games have been draws for Chesterfield hence there may be a slight bit of caution about backing Halifax.

Other thing to perhaps bear in mind is that in terms of away form halifax have played teams in 23rd (won) , 21st (won), 19th (drew) and 16th (lost). Ultimately you can only beat what’s in front of you but there’s perhaps a sense that they haven’t played any one decent away yet. Not that’s likely to change by Tuesday! As we aren’t a good side at the moment

Halifax double chance and over 0.5 goals 20/21, btts at 4/5 (Halifax have done btts last 4) will probably be what I look at possibly as my main bets. Halifax double chance plus o1.5 match goals is 13/10 (a bet that’s won every game this season) and Halifax double chance and btts is 13/5 (7/8 game) are all tempting prices. Will try and find out if there’s any Halifax team news etc before Tuesday

    Btts 4/5 (NAP)
Halifax double chance and over 0.5 mg 20/21 (nb)

    Other games
    Dover v Ebsfleet BTTS 4/5
    Notts C v Solihull BTTS 4/6

Wrexham v Maidenhead was also a consideration as Wrexhams record is good and although Maidenhead haven’t had as many BTTS they have scored in all their away games

    Tarup-paarup vs Roskilde

Roskilde should get a few here and have been relentless in the cup so far winning 12-0 & 7-1 both away games.

Tarup are a step up but not by much.

Betbuilder Roskilde win +over 3 goals in the game @2.00 NAP

They have just signed a couple of good players at this level, who will be in the starting 11.

Putting a few £ on the following too:

    Over 5,5 @4.00
    Over 6.5 @8.00

    it’s tufc time again

very peculiarly we appear to have developed quite a nasty rivalry with woking very very recently, possibly as recently as last season there seems to have begun a deep deep animosity between the two clubs?? possibly be their taunting of us as we appeared to be losing our grip on the league title, them picking up a few points from their games in hand and cemented by out coming from behind to draw at their place and going on to win the title by a decent margin?? anyway, however it has happened, it appears to be there. the fact that they followed us up throught the platoffs ought to have placated their fans, and their incredible start to the season should, hopefully, see things back to normal, with two clubs who don’t give much of a hoot about each other whatever happens!

so, their start, top of the table, with 7 wins out of 8, scoring goals for fun, but also conceding them at a conistent rate too. three clean sheets to our one. we seem to score regularly, so it’ll be a straight forward, read the stats and bet accordingly, overs and btts for me tonight (evens skybet)as we travel up to london to recommence battle. maybe we can surprise them, but i’m expecting a potential larruping here!! fingers crossed that we come out unscathed! there are some interesting specials on skybet, bookings are as likely as goals, torquay born ben gerring is good for a card or two, he imploded last season once the away fans got on his back, so i’m looking at btts, over 2.5 goals, 12+ corners, 50+ booking points 14/1 and over 4.5 goals, 15+ corners, 70+ booking points 250/1!

    good luck people

    Nuevo Chicago v platense
    9-05 ko.
    Btts 13-8 (hills) NAP.
    Prediction 1-1.

This is a best case scenario for this crap league for goals, hence the price.
It will probably lose 🙈 so I wish you guys all the luck tonight with your bets.

One of treble was wrong 😡

  42. Chip96 5 years ago

Morning lads, hope we’re all well

    NAP for today

    Barrow v Hartlepool over 2.5 goals @ 10/11 (Marathon)

Was hoping Barrow double chance would be a bigger price as I think they can take something from this game, but 4/11 is far too short for me

A little four fold in the English National League as well:

    Barrow v Hartlepool BTTS
Notts County v Solihull Moors BTTS
Wrexham v Maidenhead over 1.5 goals
Harrogate Town v Chorley over 1.5 goals

    4.51/1 (Marathon)

Small stake on Barrow to win & BTTS @ 15/4 (Bet365)

    Good luck today

    ** LOST **

Poor night from, well done to usual suspects though always worth reading what they say

Add both bets odds around 38/1
