I SHOULD have based all of my weekend bets around the Betfred Cup semi-finals – and I'd have won a fortune.
I was utterly convinced Celtic and Rangers would win their ties easily and set up the first Old Firm final since 2011 and this one's going to be tough to call. It's bound to be fiery and Greg will love it for individual player bookings.
Unfortunately Sunderland only beating Southend 1-0 beat my -1 handicap treble but Sunday's Super Single was Rangers -2 and that landed with their 3-0 defeat of Hearts.
After a poor Saturday I landed two out of three winners on Sunday with the goals treble trapping at 11-5.
Well done to all the winners including Greg with his Rangers v Hearts BetBuilder and Scott with his members bet on goals at Braga.
On Monday we have managerless Stoke at home to WBA in the Championship, SPAL v Sampdoria in Serie A, some Portuguese games and lower-league matches.
It's tight at the of the Championship with three teams locked on 28 points but West Brom will leapfrog them all with a win and away from home they've lost just once this season. The Baggies should win but the no manager factor could come in to play as Stoke are sure to raise their game.
For a double I'm on West Brom not to lose and over 1.5 goals at SPAL v Sampdoria. This is a fight between the bottom two and while initially it doesn't look a high scorer all we want is two or more at around 2-5.
Last season SPAL won this one 3-1 at home and lost 2-1 away and Samp recently have creating loads of chances without putting too many of them away.

I would tread very carefully on Salzburg goals at Napoli,Liverpool went there and couldn’t score,Napoli at home in Europe are well drilled and keep things tight.

Anyway my opinion for what it’s worth is Salzburg will struggle in Italy.
Jurgen Klopp was very naive in the game at Anfield v Salzburg,when Liverpool went 3-0 up he should have shut up shop,instead he opted to stay open and Liverpool got punished by conceding.Italian teams are more streetwise and as a pointer take Inter Milan’s game v Dortmund,there was a lot on overs for that game but Dortmund didn’t even score,yep it’s a different game and Salzburg are goal machines but most Italian teams take the same approach in Europe at home.
Macathered is correct only reason Liverpool didn’t score in Italy is because there hated..and also as he says klopp was a dick against salsburg when going 3 up…if they had a decent manager that wldnt have happened AND they probably wouldn’t be hated in Italy either and teams would let them score.
Atmosphere can have a big part in the outcome of football matches,it’s easier to play at home than in a hostile environment.Players don’t play 100% in hostile places.
