I'M beginning to tire of the friendlies but I felt a bit better after the Scotland game.

My Super Single was Mexico to win to nil and their 1-0 success was much more convincing than it looks.

As Greg, who was on Mexico -1, pointed out the shot count was 29-2 but the home men just couldn't grab a second and credit to a young and inexperienced Scots side for battling to the death and even hitting the woodwork.

I watched about an hour of the game in the early hours and if Nathan's tuning in Jonny Russell looked good following his move from Derby to Kansas.

Belgium let down my double yesterday after England's win and I won't be doing much more on these meaningless games before the start of the World Cup next week.

Well done to all the winners yesterday including Greg who was inspired with Degerfors in Sweden and HulShaker who is in brilliant form.

Friendlies today include Brazil v Croatia, Spain v Switzerland, Costa Rica v Northern Ireland and Peru v Saudi Arabia.

With my Mexico winnings in my back pocked I'm happy to risk 1pt on a treble today. Start with under 2.5 goals when two low scoring teams meet in Costa Rica and add Peru to beat Saudi Arabia in St Gallen.

The Saudis are the lowest-ranked side to make it to Russia and will be tested by Peru who are unbeaten in 13 and boosted by the news star man Pablo Guerrero has been cleared to play in the finals after it was ruled the cocaine he consumed was accidental.

Whether Guerrero will start is doubtful but Peru should be too strong if they can be bothered.

One player definitely making his comeback tonight is Neymar. After a boring season at Anfield there is some excitement at least as Brazil take on Croatia.

Home star Roberto Firmino is likely to be involved but Croatia are set to be minus star man Luka Modric after his participation in the Champions League Final for Real Madrid.

I was going to do a double or treble on the final-round two balls at the Memorial Tournament having watched a fair bit of the action on the graveyard shift the past couple of nights.

However, bad weather is forecast so players are going out in threes at Muirfield Village and earlier than scheduled.

He's not leading but Tiger Woods has impressed me most in the last two rounds. His 67 on Friday could have been a 63 and yesterday he was in total control before two late bogeys made him settle for a 68.

Woods is five off the pace set by Bryson DeChambeau and a win is extremely unlikely but he's hitting the ball so well he should take his three ball with Whee Kim and JB Holmes.

DeChambeau only holds a one-shot lead but also looks rock-solid on the outrights but with so many players breathing down his neck I'm not sure if 23-10 is value.

Woods is 33-1 with Unibet if you fancy a fairytale story while Rory McIlroy, one behind Tiger after a 64 yesterday, is 60-1 at Betfred.

    South Africa v Wales

    22.00 ko

    South Africa have left the first team behind to face Eng in a weeks time and start with 7 uncapped players. Wales have a mixture of seasoned pros (George North) and less experienced players with one uncapped. Throw in the neutral venue in Washington and I see plenty of value in:

    Wales ML
    3.00 @ bet365

    Wales +7
    1.90 @ bet365

    22-20 but SA only in the game due to a Wales yellow card. U20s back in action today.

    Cycling – Critérium du Dauphiné ?
    ============================
    Prologue ITT (Individual Time Trial) 6.5 Km
    ===================================
    – Jos van Emden is the only big TT rider present in Dauphiné;
    – the Dutchman is in good form finishing in 4 place at (ITT) – Al Maryah Island (Rohan Dennis was the winner) , 3nd in (ITT) – San Benedetto del Tronto (Rohan Dennis winner) and 4 place stage 16 in Giro (ofcourse Dennis win the ITT ? )
    – Rohan Dennis is missig this year in Dauphine and this could be a great chance for van Emden to win a stage , normally he preferes stages with more km but he should win this Prologue ;
    – i’ll go for a safer option which should land easy in my opinion;

    Morning gents,

    Yesterday was a good ‘un with both the Icelandic Youth goals and England corner bets getting the green light – unfortunately, I scuppered the chances of a full house with a dud in Brasil later on!

    Two games that I like the look of today; the 1st comes from Iceland and features a game that I really fancy for goals whilst the 2nd hails from Bolivia for the big 2nd Leg of the Apertura finals which I’ll write up later…

    KÁRI VS. TINDASTÓLL
    (1300 KO):

    Kari’s potential in front of goal served me well midweek when they scored not just the 1 needed but 3 past top-flight outfit Vikingur who only managed to edge out the minnows in extra time.

    A win for the hosts today will take them to within 1 point of the lead position of 2 Deild and if Kari were minnows against Vikingur, they are more like sharks against today’s opposition Tinfastoll.

    Life for the visitors is poor; they have so far amassed a haul of 0 points from their opening 4 games and have conceded  3, 4, 7 and 5 goals in their campaign to date – these two played out a 7-0 mauling to Kari just a few months ago and I can’t see anything but a solid home win.

    JORGE WILSTERMANN VS. THE STRONGEST (2000 KO):

    Forget the World Cup – this one’s the biggie in Bolivia and with all eyes on the 2nd Leg showdown, I’ll be touching down in Cochabamba for what ought to be a cracker…

    Wilstermann missing a 21st minute penalty in La Paz (it was a shocker which the keeper saved with his foot) cost me my bets and ended up seeing The Strongest tuck a 2-1 home win under their belts so it’s all down to Jorge’s home performance this evening and I just think they are too strong to roll over without a real fight.

    Midfielder Aponte will miss tonight’s game as a result of his red card but that’s more than balanced out by The Strongest’s 1st choice keeper also being absent for giving the ref to much slather in the 1st leg!

    The defeat was Jorge’s 1st after 7 back to back wins and is only their 2nd defeat in 13 matches – that form has seen some powerful performances and none moreso than on their home turf. The Strongest’s altitude advantage will be voided here and ‘Tigres’ travel about as well as Guiness; they have won only 9 of their last 25 away fixtures with 70% of their last 10 games on the road being defeats.

    Two selections to consider and if they come in it really will be a wow moment as I’ll be having a giant red ‘W’ tattooed on each buttock as a sign of my allegiance to the mighty Wilstermann:

    Morning gents

    Not much to go on today but there is the usual Norwegian Division 1 card and one match that really stands out

    Nest Sotra v Aalesund KO 5pm

    The visitors are certainly looking to make an immediate return to the top flight having collected an impressive 23 points from 10 games. It’s no surprise that form has taken them to the top of the league. 8 of those 10 games went over 2.5 goals with them netting at leas twice.

    They play a Nest side who have struggled this season defensively. I can’t see them keeping Aalesund at bay who look as if they are head and shoulders above everyone else in this league
