YOUNG BOYS were bad boys as they crashed to an astonishing defeat at home to Thun.
It's fair to say the Swiss Super League leaders were the most popular bet of the night but form, stats and betting slips all went out of the window.
They downed my Super Single which was Young Boys and Rangers to score 2+ but a Thun of goals helped keep the over 2.5 goals treble alive. That landed at 31-10 thanks to both to score at Dundee and over 2.5 goals at Benfica v Braga so no damage was done on the night.
It was actually a great night for goals while all five favourites in the English League Cup won and conceded.
Greg was unlucky with his goals nap landing but not until extra time at Ross County while Jordan's China tip and he has another for Thursday.
It's fairly quiet on Thursday ahead of a busy weekend that included the Premier League kicking off with Arsenal v Leicester and Partick Thistle v Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.
Thursday's an interesting one for HullShaker as his Bury side take on Sunderland in the League Cup. I assume we'll see some thoughts from him and he may be looking at former Gigg Lane striker James Vaughan to net for the visitors or will it be his replacement Jermaine Beckford doing the business. Bury also have Chris Maguire who was a decent forward at Aberdeen and this could be a good one for both to score.
There is not much else to look at but I've decided to go with a low-stakes both to score double.
Let's take a chance on Bury v Sunderland and add Gothenburg v AIK. Gothenburg's last five home matches have brought up btts and while AIK are a low-scoring outfit they are better than their hosts just now and should hit the target.
I also looked at Basel-Grasshopper and this should be a convincing win for the home side who could go top against a team now bottom after Thun's win? Anyone brave enough to take it on after the Young Boys' shock – I think I'll leave it alone.

I fail to understand what is wrong with an operator trying to verify the source of funds and their customer.
Operators are obliged to aak for these details at some point in time for every customer playing with them. Going to another bookmaker will never solve this “problem”.
He’s been with them for a while and they’re asking for the details again.
Bookies generally only ask for this information on sign up. Having to do it again is a ball-ache and also makes you wonder WHY they’re questioning the source of funds… I’d be a bit mythed myself tbh.

Bookies by law are required to check if they have concerns whether people are gambling what they can afford to gamble.
They’re asking him to prove he’s not gambling outwith his means. However, we know how Chris operates and it’s a difficult for one.
Here’s a quote I read recently and in future this will be much more common and there will be more checks.

As I said firms are going to have to do this more often or face potential fines.
Going to another will solve the problem short term because they won’t act immediately.
It’s not the first time I’ve heard of this and there was a story recently in the paper about a bingo player being banned from a hall because they thought she was spending more than they can afford.
Bookies are becoming more answerable for their actions and to be fair to them they are doing due dilligence which all firms need to do.
Also anyone who bets with large stakes can expect the same question at some point.

I have no issue about proving my identity if done in the right way and through a secure website however I completely object to providing them with information relating to my source of income i.e. Bank statements, letter from employer, P60 etc. Are you trying to say you would be happy to provide such information.

I’m trying to keep stakes low and bets simple so early in the season so here are my tips for tonight:

Guimaraes were strong at home last season whereas Chaves were poor on the road. As a result, i’m taking Guimaraes to start the season strong and to grab 2 here tonight.
Mr F has already mentioned Bury v Sunderland as BTTS but i’m going to side with the safer o1.5mg. In the other game Schaffhausen should win but after last night’s sorrow in Switzerland, i’m on goals. Schaffhausen have scored 12 in their first 3 games this season, conceding just the 1. Aarau’s first 3 games this season have seen 9 goals between them so all roads will hopefully lead to goals tonight.

Nice one doing well on the goals, usually the best way to go. Last two days been weird though Tuesday had a 9 fold acca come in on Scottish and English league cup and goals bets let me down but Wednesday it was the reverse. But think it’s a safer bet with goals well done mate ?
Cheers mate. Goals have definitely been more productive for me and I find keeping the totals and playing level stakes to work well too. I still like an accer now and again and a few other singles on games, but it’s no longer my main method of betting. I’ve learned a lot I think from various pearls of wisdom from folk on here, discipline being the key thing. Im happy to try and double my money on a goals bet and if I get 1 more win than a loss over a week I know I’m alright

Heracles v Ajax (Saturday)
I fully expect Ajax to win here, so I will take them on the asian handicap. Heracles lost their last pre-season game with 2-0 at Jupiler League club Emmen. They played their strongest team for the first hour and were 2-0 behind in the 57th minute. When Ajax don’t sell more players they will be the team to beat this season. I think they were quite good against Nice, dominating the second half in France. The last 3 seasons this game ended 0-2 and I think we will have something similar on Saturday.

PSV v AZ (Saturday)
PSV managed to score 1 goal in their last 450 minutes of Football. Yes, 3 of the 5 games were friendlies, but what I have seen from them in both EL qualifiers against Osijek was horrible. Their defence is quite good, but they just can’t score at the moment. I expect another slow start in their season opener against AZ. PSV sold Propper to Brighton this week and with Guardado also gone it looks all a bit uncertain in midfield. Last year PSV started their first 3 home games with 1-0 (v AZ), 0-0 and 0-1 results and I think this season will start the same. AZ are a well organized team and strong at the back.

I’ve tipped Sunderland to go down this year. They were awful last season and have lost their main man in Defoe, and being hammered 3/0 by st Johnstone and 5/0 by a second string celtic although pre season results doesn’t bode well. Plus Newcastle are my English team and I would “love it, absolutely love it” if they were to drop down again ?

Pls who uses 1xbet, I successfully deposited money into the account , after some winnings I wanted to cash out but I can’t , I have complained to customer care and no reasonable response frm them , asking me to hold on an expert will attend to me .

Maybe they have a cooling off period time for deposit/withdrawals?
I know some bookmakers used to not let you cash out anymore than you had ever deposited with them,(skybet) but don’t know if that’s the case anymore or with some still
Haven’t heard that before – doesn’t make sense though as they profit from cash out overall.
What people need to understand though is unless your bet is a winning position quite late on the offer will be rubbish.
I don’t think he meant cash out a particular bet I think he meant withdraw winnings. When I first joined skybet my first 3 bets were £20 accas all which won, and when I tried withdrawing the funds (£200+) it would only let me withdraw £20 as that was all I had funded the account with. That’s what I meant by the above
Must be something in terms and conditions that says you have to play through your first withdrawal in the same way you need to do with most sign-up offers..
