JUST when I thought we'd returned to normal Storm Brendan struck to make life more difficult than it should have been.
And Stormy Brendan would have been pretty angry at his Leicester's side defeat to Southampton a couple of months after beating them 9-0.
Games in Scotland were a lottery and the weather knocked out half the card and many of my tips.
Luckily none of my English games were affected and it was profitable day thanks to an 8pts win on both to score at Leicester, Blackburn and Luton.
I quite fancied Southampton and as well as taking them to score at the King Power I tipped them not to lose and wish that had been the Super Single instead of Liverpool -1. Now that Saints win must have made Brendan stormy
The Premier League champions-elect did everything but score a second and survived a few scares late on to cling to a 1-0 win at Spurs.
Well done to all the winners on Saturday including Greg who managed a full house and Scott whose members bet became a winning single. Desmond's mainly Scottish-based tips were battered by the breeze.
It's a bit quieter on Sunday and let's hope the weather is calmer too. In the Premier League Man City should win at Aston Villa and hopefully there will be a few goals while I fancy Watford to take something at Bournemouth.
On the Continent the focus is on Italy and France and later it's the Spanish Super Cup Final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid and in Dubai and there should be goals there.
I've picked two trebles and while Watford tempt as a Super Single I'm taking them not to lose on the Top Treble.
Start the goals treble at Torino v Bologna. It's a meeting between two form sides who are scoring plenty and four of the last six meetings in Turin have brought up this market. Bologna have netted in 15 out of 18 games and face a confident side who won 2-0 at Roma last time out.
Villa did so well to hold Leicester in midweek and it's possible Dean Smith will employ the same kind of tactics. However, I expect City to win with either both scoring or going over 2.5 goals with Villa home games averaging 2.7 a game.
Complete the treble with PSG and over 2.5 goals at home to Monaco. PSG have netted 14 in three meetings with Monaco but the opposition are much improved and could even contribute to the scoreline. The past five meetings between the sides have gone over 2.5 goals with a total of 24 goals.
Despite the club's good form they axed Leonardo Jardim so this is new boss Roberto Moreno's first league game in charge and it couldn't come at a tougher venue.
So Watford start the Top Treble having escaped the drop zone after a run of three league wins and a draw under new boss Nigel Pearson. By contrast Bournemouth are second bottom and firmly in a relegation battle after losing eight in 10.
A little confidence may have been restored with last week's 4-0 FA Cup win against Luton with Callum Wilson grabbing a much-needed goal but Watford are the type of team they struggle against with their only points coming from Chelsea and Arsenal in that rotten run.
My other picks are from Italy and I'm on Verona not to lose at home to Genoa. Verona are powerful at home and Genoa poor on the road so it could easily be a home but I'm playing it safer by taking Verona on the double chance.
Roma's good run ended with a 2-0 home defeat by Torino while Cristiano Ronaldo bagged his first Serie A hat-trick in a 6-1 thrashing of Cagliari. I can see Ronaldo scoring again in a Juve win but I'm respecting Roma's home record – they beat the champions 2-0 in the capital last season and haven't lost in five at home to their visitors – by going Juve draw no bet.
