MAN CITY showed their mettle to take out Liverpool and keep the Premier League title interesting.
Wasn't the greatest game I've seen but City looked stronger throughout and deserved the win that closed the gap at the top to four points.
Before kick-off there were varying opinions on how the game would go but it looked as if Liverpool played for a draw and ultimately that cost him.
A Liverpool win would have made them hard to catch but bookies can hardly split the sides now with Ladbrokes going 10-11 Liverpool and evens City.
It's back to business tonight with the FA Cup third round kicking off with Tranmere v Spurs. Like most top teams Spurs will make a raft of changes but their reserves should be good enough to see off Micky Mellon's League Two side.
In Scotland the focus is on the lower leagues and new leaders Ross County travel to Morton in the Championship and look worth taking at just under evens. They beat Morton 5-0 at home but did lose 2-1 in Greenock at the start of the season before their form picked up.
Elsewhere there are matches in Spain and France but not too much else and I've decided to go with a goals double at Tranmere are Morton. Spurs have netted 15 in four and could cover this themselves depending on Mauricio Pochettino's line-up.
Well done to all the winners yesterday including Scott with his btts and overs at Man City for the members bet – my only punt was a loser on Liverpool draw no bet.
