MAN CITY, Man United, Real Madrid and Rangers are all in action on another busy Sunday of action.

City start three months without Keven de Bruyne at home to Huddersfield but should have enough two in by at least two while Man United have a testing trip to Brighton.
Real Madrid, without Cristiano Ronaldo, launch their title bid at home to Getafe in a fixture that traditionally produces goals.
Rangers head to Kilmarnock in Betfred Cup while Hibs tackle Championship side Ross County at home. Plenty to look at elsewhere so I'll get the thinking cap on.
I felt a bit unlucky overall on Saturday with my Super Single losing in injury time. If I hadn't been on the motorway heading home from the football I'd have cashed out and advised cover. As usual I hope anyone on Arbroath did so.
The biggest leg of my Top Treble – Leeds -1 – was the only winner and that could have been a Super Single on its own. Wolves not scoring beat the both to score treble and the moneyback fivefold will have the stake refunded if Brentford win on Sunday.
Well done to all the winners including Greg and Desmond. As far as the contributors were concerned there were some outstanding match previews and I liked the fact Nathan Ufton updated his tips on Millwall v Derby after teams were revealed. Maccathered also had a good as did many others.
I'm out to recoup some of my losses with my Sunday selections. The Super Single is an evens money double with over 2.5 goals at Man City v Huddersfield and Real Madrid v Getafe. Both home sides could cover this on their own.
City were held 0-0 by Huddersfield last season but it was a bit of a dead rubber so I expect them to put on a show of strength in their first home game of the campaign.
The last five meetings at Real have totalled 28 goals with all going over 3.5 goals including a 7-3. Real showed defensive frailties in the UEFA Super Cup defeat to Atletico Madrid and Getafe have netted on four of their last five visits to the Bernabeu.
My other bet is a treble on Hibs, Marseille and Roma draw no bet at Torino. Hibs have plenty of games behind them after six Europa League ties and should find Championship side Ross County an easier nut to crack than the likes of Molde and Asteras. Neil Lennon has plenty of attacking options and if he finds the right mix this should be a convincing Betfred Cup win.
Marseille trounced Toulouse 4-0 on opening day and lost just three Ligue 1 games on the road last season. They should have too much for promoted Nimes.
Roma can win at Torino but I'm keeping the draw on side as three of the last four meetings in Turin have been 1-1 draws – the other a 2-1 Roma win so maybe both to score is a shout. Roma lost just once in Serie A last season and have bought well in the summer so should get the job done.

    One for now.

A DFB Pokal mismatch that I think could produce goals involves newly promoted Bundesliga side Dusseldorf. They’ve spanked some lower league outfits during pre-season (1-9, 9-0, 10-0, 5-0 and 13-0) so they know where the goal is. They visit a Koblenz side that play in the 5th tier of German football and, even with rotation (that I guess will occur), they should be far too good for their opponents.

The goal line is reasonable, but I’ve gone for a modification.

    Half Stake:

    RW Koblenz v Dusseldorf

    O0.5 First Half Goals & O3.5 Match Goals @ 4/5 (Bet365)

Final score 1-6 and a belter of a game ?

Early days in the T&T Pro League and although I’ve not paid much attention this last 6 months or so, these are two of the ‘biggest-hitters’ within the league; following their games has always brought a few goals and after a decent start we could see more action here…

H2H-wise, there has always been a lot of competition between these two for obvious reasons; of the last 6 since 2016, 5 have seen 3 or more goals whilst 4 have seen the same with both teams netting.

Plenty of scope to see both on the scorecard again here and it might just pay to go with the following:

    OVER 3.5 MGS…6/4

    BTTS 2ND HALF…7/4

main bet is very similar to the WLB European NAP so if you want a review head to their site. Fancy Getafe to net at Real … Think Real have conceded in 17/last 19 games. Other goal scorer bets are all in form (except Sterling) … Martinez is probably the best striker in the MLS this year and netted in the reverse with Columbus – and Goulart and Talisca keep netting for Guangzhou Evergrande, 11 in 14 and 7 in 6.

    Morning gents

Busy card today but will likely focus on the UK games on a Sunday and the Norwegian games at 5pm until the other leagues get into to full flight

Brighton v Man United KO 4pm

After an opening day victory against Leicester, the fixture computer had been kind to them and sent them to Brghtonnfoe trier first away match of the season.

Brighton suffered a 2-0 defeat at Watford last weekend and inked toothless in attack, I dint think they mustered up a single shot on goal.

It’s early in the season hence why I feel we are getting generous odds on United to win here. With Lakaku back in the starting line up and players a match fitter I think United should win this comfortably and have too much quality for Brighton

Back Man United to win 5/6 (Bet365) (NAP)

Man City v Huddersfield KO 1.30pm

Noting flash here – city cruised to victory against Arsenal last week in 2nd gear and you have to fear for Huddersfield and most teams coming here as it’s damage limitation. City just to go good

    Back over 2.5 match goals

Hibernian v Ross County KO 3pm

It was a disappointing end to a good Euro effort by Hibs as they crashed out 3-0 in against Molde

They have the perfect opportunity to redeem themselves by progressing to the last 8 of the league cup. County will provide tricky opposition but Hibs should win this by a few goals and have the majority of the ball – wouldn’t be be surprised to see Kamberi on the score sheet at 10/11

    Hibernian to win

    Double pays 11/10 ( MarathonBet)

  21. maccathered 5 months ago

I will follow you on Man Utd,although it’s a game i wouldn’t Nap,be careful folks as Brighton are different at home to what they are away, last seasons result between the two sides should give you an indicator,i do expect United to win but not as comfortable as Greg thinks. 3 star.

    • alex_mufc83 5 months ago

Likewise, expect Brighton are going to ‘bed in’ and be tough to brake down at home. Expecting a slightly painful watch, think we will grind the result but likely won’t be pleasant viewing. Wouldn’t be surprised by a 0-0 half time scoreline.
Happy for the lads to prove me wrong and smash it of course !

      • alex_mufc83 5 months ago

      • maccathered 5 months ago

Yeah Brighton are not to bad on their patch on a good day,i do expect United to win (they have to) but it won’t be easy, thats why it only gets 3 star from me and stake adjusted accordingly.Funny though a United side 5/6 to win at Brighton lol and Liverpool 4/9 to win at Palace, the prices should be vice versa.

Fancy Genk 4-9 and Gent 8-11 today. Will be adding to a couple of tips on here.

@tennisace cracking 10 unit double yesterday. Can you advise bookies that pay out on tennis player retiring??? Had Federer 2-0 last night and Goffin retired in 2nd set but both 365 and betway just void bets on retirement. Any thoughts on WTA final today?

    • hairyheid 5 months ago

Also like Nimes v Marseille btts 8-13.
Gregs French goal kings (recently promoted) usually good for a goal at home (won 3-4 last week in first ligue 1 game) whilst Marseille has seen 9 out of 10 last away games seeing btts. Might be worth considering as part of accas today. Good luck all with a bet on ?

  31. HullShaker 5 months ago

    Morning gents,

Only one thing to do when you’re in Manchester and fancy an afternoon following some world-class football – luckily there’s a big game kicking off at 1500!

    FRAM VS. NJARDVÍK (1500 KO):

It may not be The Etihad but there are certain similarities between The Laugardalsvöllur Stadium and it’s rather more affluent Mancunian counterpart; Fram’s Reykjavik ground is no stranger to goals and 6-4-4-3-4-1-1-3-4-10-6 in consecutive home games offers up a pretty tasty average.

Both home and away games have seen rich pickings for any goal-backers following Fram and without their 2-0 loss to table-toppers IA, their last 10 league matches have finished with scorelines of 3-3, 2-2, 2-2, 1-3, 2-1, 3-1, 1-0, 1-2, 3-1, 2-2 – that’s a record that sees ‘btts & overs’ get the green light in 80% of their most recent matches!

Whilst Njardvik can’t quite match that figure, their games have hardly been devoid of action – last season’s successful promotion bid from 2 Deild saw them racking up the goals and despite their struggle to assimilate, they have netted in 9 of their last 13 matches…a spell that has averaged just over 3.1 goals per game.

There have been 3 H2H’s between the two sides; the most historic finished 2-1 to Fram but is meaningless whereas the much more meaningful 2018 match-ups in April and June finished with respective scorelines of 2-1
    and 2-2.

I really like the look of both sides scoring here and doubt it will stay under 3 goals – two selections to consider:

    BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS…4/5

    BTTS & OVER 3.5 MGS…31/20

    Best of luck ?

  32. leroy 5 months ago

Having seen the line-up, David Silva starts unexpectedly and is available at a massive price to score compared to the other City forward players (3 benched players and 2 strikers are 1/1 or below). Both Silva’s likely playing off of the strikers in that line-up, so I’ll have a pop at a long-shottish effort.

Gap CQ v TNS (Welsh) TNS win and >1.5 mgls 31/20
    Rudes V Rijeka (Croatia) >2.5 mgls 4/6
Belenenses v Porto ; Porto win and >1.5 mgls 1/2

Write up already on Welsh game; TNS bulk of away wins historically and could easily see>2.5 mgls.
Rijeka could go top with a win 4 games in, Rudes winless. Last 5 HDHs > 2.5 goals.
Porto have only lost 1 at Bels in last 14 matches (last season) and that once in last 27 HDHs.

    Treble 5.38/1 Ladbrokes.

Golden rule of betting is NEVER bet on them!!!

    Lindelof is a joke
    Young isn’t a wing back
    Mata isn’t a winger FFS
    Lukaku isn’t good enough

Tottenham next for us and I never thought I’d say this but we need to go with Jones and Smalling at CB ??

Well done Brighton a great team at home!!

Well done Brighton, by far the better team and fully deserved win. United completely toothless. Jose gone by December IF there’s a suitable replacement.

Anyway can’t say I’m massively surprised wasn’t too hopeful before kick off although certainly wasn’t expecting to concede 3 in the first half.

    Anyway back to the betting.

I hardly covered myself in glory this afternoon and, not for the first time, find myself dusting down my pride and looking for a shot at redemption in South America.

Hopefully the goal-gods will be smiling on this one…if they are, then we’ll be close enough to tip them a wink as we trudge past them on that well beaten mountain track to La Paz…

There’s certainly something in the air up there and whilst The Strongest were bizarrely off the pace last season, their City neigbours and perennial nemesis Bolivar have started the season where their counterparts left off – poorly!

I don’t know what the phrase is in Bolivia but, as we say up North…”summats up”

Bolivar sit a dismal 10th of the 14 teams in Bolivia’s Primera with just 7 points from a possible 18; with a G/D of -3, their form to date is made up of 3 losses, 2 wins and 1 draw and that against some pretty underwhelming competition by their standard.

What is even more shocking as a dyed in the wool follower of Bolivian football (and of possibly most ‘value’ interest to me) is that their La Paz stronghold has sprung a leak; 5 of their last 6 home games have seen at least 1 goal conceded and that IS unusual!

H2H’s will show Blooming don’t have a great record up in La Paz but that was against the strength of the standard Bolivar outfit and, on current form, this is not their usual standard.

For their part, Blooming have scored in every one of their opening 6 league matches apart from the 0-0 draw to Wilstermann and I think this is as good a chance as they’ll ever have of getting close to a side that has always held the hoodoo over them in the last 5 years.

Two selections to consider and although I’m going against common concensus, I just think the conditions are right both on and off the field:

    (Bet 365)

    Best of luck ?

Possible value punt in the early hours in the MLS. Los Angeles FC made a big splash in the trade market acquiring Minnesotas Christian Ramirez this month. He rewarded them with a brace in his first start in which he and Carlos Vela showed very good chemistry early on. A third goal was Chalke doff for offside. Bookies seem to have forgotten this and have an ex goalscoring star from the Norwegian league in Adama Diomande (ex Hull too) as the odds on favourite to net anytime, but I’ve an inkling Ramirez will get the nod up top.

Colorado held the Galaxy to a 2-2 draw midweek so not much travel would have been done since, but they have one of the worst away records in the league and LA’s roster is stacked with attacking options. Colorado also have a few players with injuries and could struggle here. LA’s form has dipped of late but Ramirez is undoubtably an upgrade over Diomande (72 goals in 140 games for Minnesota).

    Los Angeles/Colorado – 3:00AM

    Christian Ramirez Anytime @ 6/5 @ 365 – 2.5 points
