MAN CITY, Man United, Real Madrid and Rangers are all in action on another busy Sunday of action.
City start three months without Keven de Bruyne at home to Huddersfield but should have enough two in by at least two while Man United have a testing trip to Brighton.
Real Madrid, without Cristiano Ronaldo, launch their title bid at home to Getafe in a fixture that traditionally produces goals.
Rangers head to Kilmarnock in Betfred Cup while Hibs tackle Championship side Ross County at home. Plenty to look at elsewhere so I'll get the thinking cap on.
I felt a bit unlucky overall on Saturday with my Super Single losing in injury time. If I hadn't been on the motorway heading home from the football I'd have cashed out and advised cover. As usual I hope anyone on Arbroath did so.
The biggest leg of my Top Treble – Leeds -1 – was the only winner and that could have been a Super Single on its own. Wolves not scoring beat the both to score treble and the moneyback fivefold will have the stake refunded if Brentford win on Sunday.
Well done to all the winners including Greg and Desmond. As far as the contributors were concerned there were some outstanding match previews and I liked the fact Nathan Ufton updated his tips on Millwall v Derby after teams were revealed. Maccathered also had a good as did many others.
I'm out to recoup some of my losses with my Sunday selections. The Super Single is an evens money double with over 2.5 goals at Man City v Huddersfield and Real Madrid v Getafe. Both home sides could cover this on their own.
City were held 0-0 by Huddersfield last season but it was a bit of a dead rubber so I expect them to put on a show of strength in their first home game of the campaign.
The last five meetings at Real have totalled 28 goals with all going over 3.5 goals including a 7-3. Real showed defensive frailties in the UEFA Super Cup defeat to Atletico Madrid and Getafe have netted on four of their last five visits to the Bernabeu.
My other bet is a treble on Hibs, Marseille and Roma draw no bet at Torino. Hibs have plenty of games behind them after six Europa League ties and should find Championship side Ross County an easier nut to crack than the likes of Molde and Asteras. Neil Lennon has plenty of attacking options and if he finds the right mix this should be a convincing Betfred Cup win.
Marseille trounced Toulouse 4-0 on opening day and lost just three Ligue 1 games on the road last season. They should have too much for promoted Nimes.
Roma can win at Torino but I'm keeping the draw on side as three of the last four meetings in Turin have been 1-1 draws – the other a 2-1 Roma win so maybe both to score is a shout. Roma lost just once in Serie A last season and have bought well in the summer so should get the job done.

A DFB Pokal mismatch that I think could produce goals involves newly promoted Bundesliga side Dusseldorf. They’ve spanked some lower league outfits during pre-season (1-9, 9-0, 10-0, 5-0 and 13-0) so they know where the goal is. They visit a Koblenz side that play in the 5th tier of German football and, even with rotation (that I guess will occur), they should be far too good for their opponents.

I will follow you on Man Utd,although it’s a game i wouldn’t Nap,be careful folks as Brighton are different at home to what they are away,last seasons result between the two sides should give you an indicator,i do expect United to win but not as comfortable as Greg thinks. 3 star.

There’s certainly something in the air up there and whilst The Strongest were bizarrely off the pace last season, their City neigbours and perennial nemesis Bolivar have started the season where their counterparts left off – poorly!

Bolivar sit a dismal 10th of the 14 teams in Bolivia’s Primera with just 7 points from a possible 18; with a G/D of -3, their form to date is made up of 3 losses, 2 wins and 1 draw and that against some pretty underwhelming competition by their standard.
What is even more shocking as a dyed in the wool follower of Bolivian football (and of possibly most ‘value’ interest to me) is that their La Paz stronghold has sprung a leak; 5 of their last 6 home games have seen at least 1 goal conceded and that IS unusual!
H2H’s will show Blooming don’t have a great record up in La Paz but that was against the strength of the standard Bolivar outfit and, on current form, this is not their usual standard.
For their part, Blooming have scored in every one of their opening 6 league matches apart from the 0-0 draw to Wilstermann and I think this is as good a chance as they’ll ever have of getting close to a side that has always held the hoodoo over them in the last 5 years.

Possible value punt in the early hours in the MLS. Los Angeles FC made a big splash in the trade market acquiring Minnesotas Christian Ramirez this month. He rewarded them with a brace in his first start in which he and Carlos Vela showed very good chemistry early on. A third goal was Chalke doff for offside. Bookies seem to have forgotten this and have an ex goalscoring star from the Norwegian league in Adama Diomande (ex Hull too) as the odds on favourite to net anytime, but I’ve an inkling Ramirez will get the nod up top.
Colorado held the Galaxy to a 2-2 draw midweek so not much travel would have been done since, but they have one of the worst away records in the league and LA’s roster is stacked with attacking options. Colorado also have a few players with injuries and could struggle here. LA’s form has dipped of late but Ramirez is undoubtably an upgrade over Diomande (72 goals in 140 games for Minnesota).
