Top Football Tips

THERE was a dramatic finish to both Tuesday's Premier League matches and I expect more thrills and spills at Old Trafford and Molineux on Wednesday.

Spurs struck late to see off battling Brighton and bring up many lines including Scott's members bet – if you're not getting these you really are missing out.

Man United v Man City is the big game but Wolves v Arsenal is interesting too. I see maccathered has tipped 4-0 City and I can see why.

Surely Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men can't be as bad as Sunday when they were hammered 4-0 at Everton but I can only see a City win. I've posted a separate English preview and Grant Heaney has written up a comprehensive Man United v Man City preview.

Solskjaer has added fire to an already hot affair by claiming City deliberately foul opponents and this could be a fiery affair. Every chance of a red and I'm taking that as a Super Single.

On Tuesday I was as close to a full house as possible – and again Greg has congratulated me on a full house in the belief people would have cashed out before Luton conceded a 94th-minute equaliser to Wimbledon.

For stats purposes I'm only claiming the Leipzig -1 Super Single at 6-4 and the 18-5 both to score treble that landed courtesy of Watford's last-gasp equaliser.

There's the second German Cup semi between Werder Bremen and Bayern and an Italian Cup semi as Milan tackle Lazio.

In La Liga there are four games including Atletico Madrid v Valencia and Leganes v Athletic Bilbao as well as some more Dutch games.

For a Top Treble I'm on Wolves to score and Man City to win which are reasoned on the preview. Add Bayern to win at Werder in the German Cup semis- they've won on their last 12 visits to Bremen including a 7-0. In fact they've beaten Bremen 15 times running.

Goals are not as easy to find tonight – both to score possibilities include Wolves v Arsenal, Leganes v Athletic Bilbao and Espanyol v Celta Vigo.

But I've decided to take one of tonight's Dutch games – NAC Breda v Feyenoord – and add tomorrow's matches between Den Haag v Excelsior and Willem v PSV for an over 2.5 goals treble that looks good going by stats.

Well done to all the other winners on Tuesday including Greg with his tips on Rangers reserves – I wonder if he considered under 2.5 goals at all nine French Ligue 2 games!

Reply to your comment tonight on Billy McNeill gaffer 👌

Baller, leader and gentleman 🍀 👐 was a privilege to worship the big chap for 40yrs, being born in 1978 led me to being brought up on stories of Billy McNeill and watching Paul McStay. He was one of those rare breed that bridged the divide like Stein and Greig

There’s some nice words from Greig about his “big pal”.

Is there a tribute in the Record tomorrow Mr F mate? Some nice tributes on the various news shows around GB for him.
A guy from the Record on TalkSport today told a nice story about him being asked to recreate lifting the European cup in Lisbon but with the EUFA cup in his hands when Celtic we’re in Seville(to print in the Record)
The security men etc said they couldn’t get In to do it until they said its Billy McNeil with us..the barriers and gates opened,he was welcomed in and he stuck a Celtic top on and stood on that famous podeum arms aloft with the EUFA cup.
I’ll need to see this picture!?
I can’t remember the guys name Mr F but I’m sure you will know.
A true gent and true legend of the footballing world. R.I.P Caesar!

I dunno Macc. Despite what reportedly the Utd fans might want I think the Utd players may have other ideas. The fans probably want a City win for obvious reasons but I don’t think Solskjaer will be on a par with them. He won’t want another debacle like against Everton. Of course City are a class act, but, it could be a sterner test than we may expect.

  8. tombre 5 years ago

Hi all I’ve followed you guys for years and profited greatly from various contributors! I was after your thoughts on the following: I always do daft accumulators at the start of the season. I have one of a £5 free bet to win £2k. 6/11 legs already done. Waiting on following to win domestic leagues; Bayern Munich, Ajax, Porto and Barcelona, and Chelsea to finish out of top 4. Cash out stands at £314.66. Porto is the risk in my opinion. Benfica are currently 4/7 to win the league. Do I leave it (it was a free bet anyway), cash out or back Benfica and leave it?
    Any advice most welcome

    • Mr Fixit 5 years ago

Again this depends on what £300 means to you – it’s a decent return for a £5 free bet but of course £2k is better.
Problem with covering is Benfica might not be the only loser. Chelsea have a decent top-four chance and neither Bayern or Ajax are guaranteed title.
For now your options are cash out or let it run a bit longer.

fully agree with all those considering the Man City handicap markets. forget the whole ‘wanting to lose’ stuff, this United team isn’t good enough to win even if the game meant us being in contention for winning the title.

City will be in their element, marauding and playing for the title. Playing against a team lacking in confidence, leadership, ability…. and guts.

    Best Regards

    lifelong United fan.

    • GigiKenzo 5 years ago

Got a feeling it won’t be a walk in the park for city. Will be a more close contest though City might nick it 1-0 or 2-1

    • Mr Fixit 5 years ago

I agree – no team wants to lose but there’s something badly wrong at United just now.
      Putting up more tips soon.

    • maccathered 5 years ago

It wont be close at all.City will walk this even a 5 year old could predict this one.A simple bet why complicate it.

    • alex_mufc83 5 years ago

there’s been a string of consecutively shocking performances, from gifting two goals to Wolves (the Chuckle Brothers were on top form), to Ashley Young attempting Cruyff turns at left back vs Messi…
      Sunday was diabolical.

For me there’s too many players in the starting 11 who’s heads have gone, including De Gea, facing a team that severely punish you for making mistakes.

Just my 10 cents, happy to be proven wrong by the lads.

    • mr h 5 years ago

United are tragic and have players in that squad that play regularly who I wouldn’t get excited about if they turned up in Glasgows East End. Young, Jones, Smalling and Lukaku the main culprits. Add on the pernicious Pogba who is a bad apple in the cart, the sooner he goes the better for the harmony at United.

BTTS, 4+ corners each team and 10+ booking points each team @ 4.00
      Wolves v Arsenal

      Still a good night.

    (4/5) NAP ✅ WON
    _______________________

Thought this was too big a price considering all of Arsenal’s away matches in the Premier League have seen this happen, bar one – at Watford, who played nearly the full match with 10 men. That was reason enough to back it, but adding Wolves record at home v top 4/6 and it was a no brainer! Glad stats stayed true 👍🏼

My treble came in, only about 3/1 but a 3/1 winner is better than a 3/1 loser.

    Over 2.5 Goals

    Man Utd v Man City❌
    Werder Bremen v Bayern✅
    Salzburg v Wolfsberger✅

    LASK Linz v Sturm Graz✅
    Always Ready v Nacional Potosi✅

    ❌LOST

Gutted about that like. Even more so as at half time the Austrian games were all nil nil so I placed another sixfold and the Manchester derby let down both bets 😤😤😤😤

    Swedish Allsvenskan 6pm ko
Eskilstuna v Ostersund over 2.5 mgs
Last 5 h2hs have seen this come in so pleasantly surprised to see 11/10 on offer.

    Norwegian Div 2 group 2 6pm ko
Odd Bk 2 v Fram Larvik over 3.5mgs
This has obliged 8/10 last h2hs again 11/10 on offer

    English Premier League 8pm ko
    Wolves v Arsenal
    Wolves win at 13/8
Given Wolves form against the top six and Arsenal’s poor away form this price is very generous

    • Mr Fixit 5 years ago
