NEXT time there's a midweek Championship card remind me to take a few nights off.
After Tuesday's poor results it wasn't much better on Wednesday with Derby and Norwich failing to win.
My three bets were downed and I wish I'd stuck to the Champions League as the over 2.5 double I put up in the Daily Record was a winner.
On my Spurs v Dortmund preview I got two out of two including Son to score and Scott did even better on his Ajax v Real Madrid preview with three out of three including Karim Benzema to score first at 9-2.
Well done everyone else who managed a winner.
It's all about the Europa League on Thursday and I've posted a Celtic v Valencia preview and Scott has put up BATE v Arsenal including another first scorer. Chelsea are the other British team in action as they head to Malmo and both English sides should come away with wins although I'm more confident about the Gunners whose boss Unai Emery loves this tournament.
There are plenty of other good ties to look forward to and Scott has also previewed Lazio v Sevilla.
I'm putting up Red Bull Salzburg as a Super Single away to Bruges. The Austrians were a class apart in the group stage as they won all their matches and will be looking to at least go as far as last season when they reached the semis.
Things to consider when looking at the Europa League is team news, league position (for example if a team can't win a Champions League place that way) and finally if a team's been on a winter break or still are.
I've picked out two trebles and they're both for low stakes considering the tournament and its intricacies. Apologies for lack of reasoning – working tonight and had to get a look at Saturday's card – but they've been researched and are form and stats based.

I’d love Celtic to win this game but I’m unsure. If Celtic are to win I’d imagine it would prob be 1-0. I think it’s more likely to be a draw with 0-0 a possibility. I’m backing no Goalscorer as this should always be the case if looking at 0-0 as own goals are disregarded for First Goalscorer but not for correct score. Betfred offer 9/1 for no Goalscorer whilst ironically they offer 7/1 for 0-0. Try working that one out.
BetVictor offer 11/2 and Sky, Ladbrokes and Hills offer 6/1 so 9/1 is a stand out price.
Another good price I see is Dedryck Boyata to be booked. He’s 6/4 with Skybet, 23/10 with Paddy Power and a huge 11/2 with Unibet/888Sport.

celtic- this might be rope a dope but complaints from the Spaniards about how tired they are, they don’t like the ball, and the spine of their team missing suggests to me that they aren’t completely up for this in the manner they should be. parkhead under the European lights is not a place to be going in at less than 100%. celtic are in excellent form since the winter shutdown and know they have to take a lead to spain to progress. celtic to win by 1 goal for me
Salzburg- still in the midst of their winter break at the moment but this side have been over course and distance before and that wont be a problem to them. semi finalists last year they have plenty of quality, (2nd favs imo behind Napoli) and having won at Leipzig and celtic then a trip to hit and miss brugge wont hold any fear for them.

I cant predict the villareal line up but currently sitting 2nd bottom 4 pts from safety in la liga youd have to think their eyes might be focusing elsewhere atm. the Spanish side only mustered 2 wins in 6 matches in what was an easy group and I think sporting will be a step up for them that they will find too much tonight.
