THERE was some thrilling action on Wednesday and that was just at Pittodrie.
Aberdeen v Rangers lived up to its billing with six goals, two penalties and two red cards. There were some great tips on the site including both teams to have a player sent off at 25-1 and two penalties in the game at 22-1.
I tipped a red in my Scottish preview and Scott predicted a penalty awarded and both teams to score in his match preview.
As Scott said to me in a text: “That game was a BetBuilder's wet dream.”
For the top tips my two 1pt bets were losers and it didn't really go to form in the other Scots games with Hearts, St Johnstone and Kilmarnock all failing to win.
Not much to look at on Thursday with just three main games – cup ties from France and Spain and Lazio facing Empoli in Serie A.
Real Betis and Valencia meet in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final and it could be tight. The sides drew 0-0 in Valencia earlier this season and three of the last four at Betis have gone under 2.5 goals. Greg has posted tips on Betis v Valencia.
Lyon must be fancying their chances of cup glory after a massive form lift in recent weeks culminating in a 2-1 defeat of PSG. That was the champions' first league loss of the season and it was Guingamp who handed them a first domestic loss of the campaign in the French League Cup.
They paid for that with a 9-0 loss a few days later and haven't won since that shock victory. Lyon won 4-2 at Guingamp last November and on their last four visits but it has to remembered the Ligue 1 strugglers have gone all the way to the League Cup Final. Lyon are 7-10 with Unibet which looks a little short.
Lazio are big favourites at home to Empoli and could win to nil at 8-5 with McBookie. The last three in Rome have gone that way as did a league meeting in Empoli last September.
I've had a closer look at the games and I quite like a Lazio/Lyon double but at 6-5 I'm not putting nay points on it.
