IF Chris Guy was the star of the show on Sunday then it was Lazio earning punters' cheers on Monday.
On a quiet night the Romans featured on many singles and accas but looked down and out when they trailed 1-0 going into injury time at Cagliari.
Incredibly they turned it round with two quickfire goals to please punters including Scott with another members bet winner on both to score and over 2.5 goals.
With both to score coming in at Crystal Palace, Cagliari, Copenhagen and Istanbul as well as easy wins for Porto and Sporting it would have been a bad night for the bookies.
I had my final Xmas do on Monday so didn't get the chance to put up tips and it's a pity as I'm pretty sure I'd have backed winner going by those results – although Lazio would probably have been on the line.
Anyway well done to all the winners and here's to Tuesday where we have the strange situation of Liverpool being as big as 15-2 at Aston Villa in the EFL Cup quarter-final.
That's because Jurgen Klopp has taken his first team to Qatar for the Club World Championship, leaving Under-23s coach Neil Critchley to take charge of a young side at Villa Park.
However, Villa haven't been fielding their main men in this competition and even with the prospect of an easy game Dean Smith will ring the changes.
The Birmingham Live website has a good article on the possible line-up and predicts this: Nyland, Elmohamady, Konsa, Hause, Taylor, Douglas Luiz, Lansbury, Hourihane, Trezeguet, Kodjia, Jota.
That should still be too strong for the kids but bookies have Villa at no bigger than 1-3. Be interesting to see what maccathered's thoughts are on Liverpool's chances.
Elsewhere Plymouth face Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup and there are a host of non-league matches.
There are also four matches in the Bundesliga including leaders RB Leipzig at Dortmund and cup games across the Continent so plenty to look at.
I'll have a look at form and stats in the RFO in the morning before putting up tips.
I do, however, have a Super Single for Wednesday and it's Celtic -1 at Hearts. This price should drop so I'll take advantage now and hope it lands – and I'm having my maximum 10pts bet on it.
I”ll add more reasoning tonight with a full match preview but basically the game seems to have come too early for new boss Daniel Stendel whose side were by all accounts rubbish in losing at home to St Johnstone on Saturday.
He wants his players to try a new system but that will take time and signings in January. I fancied Hearts at the weekend but wouldn't have tipped them if I knew Steven Naismith wasn't playing.
Naisy is unlikely to be involved against Celtic and while Hearts drew with Rangers this season and often lift themselves for big games against the Old Firm I'd be amazed if they got anything here and believe a buzzing Celtic will cover the -1 handicap.
My comment “only follow if you agree and can afford to lose the stake at this expensive time of year” has sparked some debate but I stand by it.
I don't believe people should bet blindly but instead check out the tips or recommendations they see. I wouldn't put up 10pts if I wasn't confident but we know in football anything can happen.
Also it's crucial people remember when they have a bet that's the stake gone unless it then wins and is returned. It's so important to get that entrenched in your brain – I'm advising caution because it's a 10pts stake.
If 1pt is £10 to you can you afford to lose £100 on this game? If you can't then leave it alone or reduce your stake.
Moving on to tonight and Augsburg look a good price at just under evens at home to Fortuna Dusseldorf. Augsburg have won four out of five while Fortuna have lost three of their last four by more than three goals – albeit to quality opposition.
I'm taking both to score in the big game at Dortmund. In the past two seasons it finished 4-1 and 2-3 and both sides have been banging them in with each netting 17 in six.
That double pays 8-5 and is my only bet tonight. I was tempted to add btts at Union Berlin v Hoffenheim or even Aston Villa but sticking with the two German games.

My point (such as I had one!) is that the whole premise of a professional tipster is that he has insights into an outcome that your average punter doesn’t. The punter trusts the tipster to know better than he does, and follows his tips on that basis, rather than on the basis of their own knowledge alone. If my stock broker or MMA instructor followed their expert advice with ‘only follow if you agree and can afford to lose’ I would raise an eyebrow!!

Some of my early thoughts for this week fixtures. I will do a proper review SAT/SUN.
Texans vs Tampa. Tampa are playing tough to close out the season with Winston almost playing for either his renewal or for money elsewhere. The Texans -3 seems attractive considering one is cementing it’s playoff seedings vs another that is done for the year. But having watched the Texans lay an egg against the Broncos I’m erring on the side of caution and I’m starting to think this might be a shoot out. Never bet With Novibet again i uploaded a new card deposited won a three figure sum and withdrew the money and ever since Sunday they have been asking for photo shots of the card wich i obiged to and now they seem to be intent on not paying out
A lot of these “newer” betting sites all seem to be the same. They promise the earth to lure folks away from the big boys and then let themselves down massively on the customer service front. There’s about 10 bigger ones that can be trusted my advice to anyone would be to stick with them.
I have hounded them like an alsatian over the past 48 hours and now they finally seem to be accepting what I say at least when the withdrawal gets processed and lands in ma account I can have a bit of fun money this Christmas
