THAT was a tough day with not much going right and a real shortage of goals.
All three Africa Cup of Nations games finished 0-0 as did Colombia v Chile and Uruguay v Peru over 120 minutes before Chile and Peru won on penalties to set up a semi-final clash. The other game is Brazil v Argentina.
VAR again had a big role to play chalking off several goals as three of the four Copa quarters finished scoreless.
Later there were shocks at the Gold Cup as Haiti came from 2-0 down to beat Canada 3-2 and Costa Rica held Mexico 1-1 before losing on penalties to the tournament favourites. The other two quarter-finals are Jamaica v Panama tonight and USA v Curacao in the early hours of the morning. Best bet is USA -1 at around 1-2.
At the Women's World Cup Germany were shocked by Sweden while Holland turned up in the second half to take care of Italy.
My Edinson Cavani to score Super Single was a loser as were my two trebles and at the end of June I'll be about evens which is acceptable after the games I've had to cover.
Sunday's only bet is a both to score double that I posted on Friday night.
I fancy Spain t beat Germany in the Euro Under-21 Final but goals looks the safest option.
At the Africa cup of Nations I like Egypt to beat Uganda and Nigeria to see off Madagascar.

One of the big reasons I’ve been transitioning into Card andCorner markets is due to VAR. I feel EPLin particular is a league that highly favours attacking sides when it comes to goals whether it be penalty decisions, offsides etc. It’s often said it evens itself out over course of season but I don’t feel that’s the case, VAR is a huge benefit for smaller sides. I do think we will see a reduction in goals in Prem this coming season IMO.
Not sure how you come to that conclusion,one thing is for sure we will see a cleaner game.
Regarding the pens Kyle it will work both ways The ref gives a pen and then VAR overrules it . It happened to me at the mens world cup . I think Neymar got a pen then it was ruled out, beat me for a cracking treble . You could be right about the goals tho.
You simply can’t go by what happens with VAR in internationals and VAR in domestic league’s,UEFA are a lot stricter with VAR then the f.a with VAR,for instance UEFA insist any touch on the arm in the box wether deliberate or not is deemed a penalty,where as this will not be the case with the English game,it’s best not to surmise as both UEFA and the F.A ill have their own rules.
I’m just specifically talking about EPL, I think our league in particular a lot of wrong decisions are made by referees where goals are given that shouldn’t be given that have been decisive in a number of games. Decisions typically favour the bigger sides, people may disagree but I think it is true. I think there is some really poor officiating goes on in our division which will get cleared up by VAR and I can see a lot of goals ruled out. As you say Cocker, Penalty bets can go both ways with introduction of VAR I don’t think that market will be greatly affected but I do think goals markets eventually will. Time will tell. Another league which has seen a reduction in goals is the CSL, I’ve seen as many as 4 goals being ruled out in a game since introduction of VAR there. Far more low score lines now than there used to be. I think with VAR being brought in the long term we will see changes in goal betting markets in specific divisions.

This is surely the way forward anyway. Put 75% of your stake on said team to SCORE a penalty and the rest on said team to MISS a penalty. That way, you’re up on the deal if that team is awarded a penalty, whether it bulges the net or not.
Spot on ( no pun intended ) I put the bigger stake on a pen scored and a smaller stake on one missed . If you get a couple of pens you can end up with a decent profit, especially if one is missed .
