DESMOND was the star of a difficult day with only a Peterborough goal beating him for a 38-1 sevenfold.
His both to score double won at 2-1 and his over 2.5 goals treble at 11-4 but Peterborough beat the 2+ double after scoring in 15 minutes then conceding four to Oxford.
From a quick look at the other tipsters it looks Greg had one winner and that's about it.
Strangely I thought it was a good card but when there is so much choice is easy to put winners on a shortlist then post the wrong ones.
Preston was a Super Single as was Chelsea draw no bet so I finished September 6.7pts up which is OK but it was looking much better a week ago.
My big consolation was Aston Villa winning for the Betting Club which means my £10 to £1000 challenge has reached £667 in 9 bets. So potentially I'm a 1-2 shot from reaching the target or may be go with two smaller one. That will be the biggest call I make on Saturday.
Elsewhere I was a goal out on several bets. There were three wins and two draws on the moneyback fivefold and I needed another St Mirren strike for the Top Treble – and a match goal at Arbroath for the Scottish goals treble.
So it was a poor end to the month and hopefully October will be better.

There are three matches in the Premier League – Newcastle v Liverpool, Arsenal v Brighton and Everton v Burnley. I can't see past Arsenal and Liverpool but both are short while I can't trust Everton just now and agree with Jordan about his Burnley to score bet.
Last night I posted goals treble and reasoning is on a separate post.
Heerenveen v Ajax features on that and while both should score the home side should at least avoid defeat. Four wins in a row have lifted Heerenveen to second place while Ajax lost at home to Vitesse last time out and before that were held by Den Haag.
Bookies seem to have under-rated Heerenveen who are a best 4-1 at bet365. I'm keeping the draw on side and going Heerenveen draw no bet for the Super Single. If it wins I may add another later.
There's a lot to like today and again it's about picking the right ones. Valencia, Roma and Nice were all on my shortlist last night and good to see Greg tipping Valencia to beat Athletic Bilbao at home.

Club Brugge have netted at least two goals in all but one of their league games thus far. That came in a 2-1 defeat to Mouscron – their only defeat of the campaign. They seem to be benefitting from a lack of European football and welcome Gent who, despite not conceding too many, find themselves towards the foot of the table. They have however been a lot leakier in their away games and seem to be keeping only the poorer sides quiet so far.
I fancy Brugge to do the business at a very fair price.

Understandably short price on offer for Nordsjaelland to see their 19th away fixture (including friendlies) to see BTTS in the last 21 games. Skive are in action again, which has surely rung Greg’s alarm bells. Last time out saw them play out a quiet 1-0 loss – stemming the tide of goals in their games, but not the flow of goals conceded. They are back on their home patch today where, in five games, they have conceded at least two goals each time. They welcome Thisted who have, comparatively, scored at least two in their five away games.
Thisted are unbeaten in their last five and were regularly impressive on the road in their promotion campaign last season. It seems they are continuing that form.
Hopefully Skive’s legs are open wide again this lunchtime.

Realty think u should takes Sean’s advice. Some days u bet on pretty much every match going. It should be fun not a necessity. I’ve seen people end up I the gutter and it’s not nice. Limit ur self to 3 bets a day and if u can’t do that u need to face the fact that it’s a problem . No offence but it showing signes that it may become a problem. Just be careful mate
