MY brave bid to wipe out Super Single losses hit the bar but Thursday's two trebles could still be winners.
I put 2pts at 15-2 on Cristiano Ronaldo and Romelu Lukaku to score first and while the Portuguese did so Lukaku had to settle for being second scorer. Pity I hadn't tipped them both to bag a hat-trick.
Well done to Jordan though whose Hungarian scorer tip came in thanks to Adam Szalai.
My Top Treble came in at 6-4 thanks to Brazil winning2-0 in the early hours of the morning while the both to score treble needs goals at Kazakhstan v Montenegro and can be covered if so desired. I've put on 1pt on not to both to score at evens.
There is another round of World Cup qualifiers tonight including Lithuania v Scotland, Malta v England and San Marino v Northern Ireland and I've posted a preview.
Other games include Czech Republic v Germany and Denmark v Poland and my Top Treble features the Germans to win in Prague and maintain their 100 per cent record.
Poland have five wins and a draw and head to Denmark looking for a win that will just about book their place in Russia. They dumped the Danes 3-0 at home and while they can win again I'm playing safer with Poland not to lose as they look overpriced.
Complete the treble with England -2 in Malta. It was only 2-0 at Wembley against a packed defence and Gareth Southgate's side should at least match that but I believe they can win 3-0 or 4-0. Scotland were 5-1 victors in Valetta at the start of the campaign so it should be one-sided.
For a Super Single I can't resist Robert Lewandowski to score for Poland. His qualification record is incredible with 20 goals in 11 games in the past two campaigns and has started the season in sizzling fashion for Bayern Munich.

In case anyone follows any of my tips, I have just compiled the results of those posted here in August:
–> 42 tips (23 winners, 18 losers, 1 void)
–> +3.72 points profit / 9.0% yield
Profit could’ve been +4.52 but I covered one of the bets before the match ended and it was ultimately a winner.
I have also posted info about 3 Brazilian matches that I didn’t recommend a bet on. 2 of them were winners and 1 was a loser, with a +0.57 potential profit. They are not in the total above.
I realized I committed some mistakes…mainly in the high stakes chosen for a couple of bets/accumulators. I’ll try to use level stakes in September as my results are usually better that way. I assumed a 1 point bet in my earlier posts in which I didn’t recommend a stake.
I’m happy with a small profit in a slightly difficult month!
