YOU couldn't really make it up! After the trials and tribulations of Saturday my Sunday treble was downed in the final minute of injury time in the last European match to finish.
And it was ex-Celt Moussa Dembele who was the culprit as he headed a last-gasp winner for Lyon at St Etienne that downed my +1 bet on the home men.
I've banged on a lot about it this month – but anyone on the treble should have cashed out for around 90 per cent of their potential winnings. After wins for Atlanta and over 2.5 goals at Ajax there were two good opportunities to take a big profit.
Firstly when St Etienne scored to make it 1-0 and secondly near the end with the clock running down. I don't like advising cash-out or cash-in because it's a bookies bonanza and some people hate it but there are times when it should be done and this was one.
I've taken a bit of stick for my stats this month but this was another unlucky blow and if I included cash-outs in the Super Singles I'd be in profit and the accas would look much better too.
But it's not fair to do that especially as often it can't be done without much notice.
My other treble was also close and beaten by Caen failing to score at home to Marseille.
Well done to all the winners including Greg with his Hearts nap and Scott with his members bet – and that's got a great hit rate at the moment. Scott and kevinmac also had some winners on their match previews.
Some decent games on Monday to look at including Bolton v West Brom, Juventus v Chievo, Genoa v Milan and Eibar v Espanyol.
Rino Gattuso's Milan lost 1-0 to Juventus in the Italian Super Cup in Jeddah in midweek and put up a good fight.
They're a fairly big price to win at struggling Genoa but bearing in mind their travels last week I'm starting a treble with Milan not to lose at around 4-11 or if you prefer take Milan draw no bet at about 1-2.
Genoa have won only one of their last eight at home but have beaten Milan on three of their last four visits.
Add Juventus -1 at home to basement boys Chievo. It should be a case of how many the unbeaten leaders win by. They've won all but two games this season and beaten Chievo in 23 out of 24 meetings including four out of six to nil at home. Juve to win to nil pays 4-6 at McBookie.
I don't like backing Championship away at odds on but fancy West Brom to win at Bolton to complete the treble. The Baggies have lost just one in 11 as they target promotion or at least a play-off spot while Bolton face massive problems on and off the pitch and relegation looks almost a certainty.
They have the worst home record in the division and while they'll fight tooth and nail the Baggies' quality should shine through.
Finally, I'd let to thank Jordan for his contributions mainly on US sports as well as some football bets. He's not being able to post much recently and has taken the decision to stand down.

Quiet day for me but there’s one in Turkey tomorrow thats screaming goals. 2 teams that score & concede regularly as Kasimpasa entertain bottom dogs Rizespor.
The home side are the top scorers in the division with 37 goals scored in 17 and that’s mainly down to the form of 20 goal Senegalese hitman Diagne but they struggle at the other end with 28 conceded in 17 which is the same as opponents Rizespor. They’ve scored in 16/17 & conceded in 14/17,BTTS has landed in 13/17 with 12 of those seeing 3+. Only 1/17 has seen under 2.5gls and that was a 1-1 draw. Match goals as follows…

I noticed interyernan asked about Italian lower leagues yesterday and I missed it as was busy most of the day. However there is a full midweek card across Italy with some teams looking like good candidates too back but no prices as of yet.
In Group A there’s Novara at home to Arzachena on Wednesday night and it should be a home win. Although they’re the draw Kings of the division with 11 draws in 19 games they face a Arzachena side that’s lost 10/10 aways scoring just 2 and shipping 20 goals. Novara won the reverse 2-0 away.
In Group C on Tuesday there’s a few and starting off with runaway leaders Juve Stabia who along with their namesakes Juventus remain unbeaten in the league. They travel to midtable Potenza who are a stuffy team with just 23 scored and 23 conceded in 20 games. At home they tend too score & concede with BTTS landing in 6/9(66%) home. Juve Stabia have scored in every away game and conceded in 6 so 6/10(60%) BTTS. I think Juve should win it but I’ll probably side with BTTS in fear of a 1-1.
Catania should win at home too second bottom Matera, they won the reverse 2-0 away. Catania have won 7/8 at home losing the other, they’ve scored 17 & conceded 4. Matera have lost 8/10 aways drawing the other 2,theyve scored just 3 times and conceded 21. Across their last 4 home and away they’ve shipped 18 in 4 games(0-4,0-4,0-6,0-4). I’ll be looking at home team goals and the handicaps on this one as I fancy an easy home win.

Surprised to see Twente as favourites in this quarter final. Twente are second in the Eerste divisie, but they were very bad in their last 2 games. Willem II is a very strong opponent and are 9th in the Eredivisie at the moment. They only lost 3 away games this season and 2 of these 3 games were at PSV and Ajax. clyde, a mate of mine does a £20 acca on short odds favourites every weekend about 10-12 thats the only bet he ever really does, hes good at it too had it up 3 or 4 times this season all returning £1,200 plus, not my way of betting now tbh but very good returns if you hit the spot……………
