VAR continues to dominate the women's World Cup and it also had an input at Copa America yesterday.
England v Cameroon was dominated by the new technology and even showed its softer side by taking pity on the raging Africans at the end. That was a pity for anyone like HullShaker who had tipped a penalty to be awarded or others who were on cards as it was a red all day long.
So VAR continues to be controversial and will be hogging the headlines I'm sure next season when it's introduced to the Premier League.
Well done to all the winners yesterday – my only bet was a moneyback fivefold and I hit four out of five with Germany Under-21s letting me down.
Two more last-16 games at the women's World Cup tonight with USA tackling Spain and Canada facing Sweden.
Ivory Coast and Tunisia are among the teams in action at the Africa Cup of Nations and the Copa America games at midnight are Chile v Uruguay and Ecuador v Japan.
Croatia v England at the Under-21s Championship is a dead rubber while Romania v France to decide top spot in Group C should see plenty of goals with 11 in Romania's two openers unless both settle for a draw that takes them through.
I've decided to leave the game alone and instead take a chance on England Under-21s. Aidy Boothroyd's side are heading home after defeats to France and Romania and only have pride to play for against Croatia.
England are packed with quality and Boothroyd has been under fire for their early exit. I reckon England will sign off with a win to give the manager something to celebrate.
For a double add USA Women to beat Spain in the last 16 of the World Cup. The Americans have been the most impressive side, winning all three, scoring 18 and conceding none. They should beat Spain by at least two.
