IT'S been a while since anyone said “all eyes are on Blackburn” but that's the case on Monday as Rovers entertain Wigan.
There are no other games in any of the top leagues with a couple of matches from Turkey and Greece the only others to hold punters' attention.
To say it's a quiet day is an understatement and it was going to be a no bet day for me until I read dannyboi's comments on the site.
He's a Wigan fan who is convinced his team – without a success in 10 and bottom of the Championship – can't win and says Blackburn to score 2+ is a steal at 10-11.
I quite fancied Rovers and agree to score 2+ is a decent price. I also like Blackburn -1 at 23-10 with Unibet and taking that as a Super Single. Go for dannyboi's tip if you prefer.
So that's it for Christmas – there will be posts put up for Tuesday and Wednesday and I might up some early Boxing Day selections.
With nothing much else on tonight I'll probably tune into the darts at some point and a double on Dave Chisnall and Gary Anderson looks good to me at 11-10 with William Hill.
Leicester v Liverpool is the big game on Thursday evening while at lunchtime we have Hearts v Hibs which is likely to be more frantic then Boxing Day sales and not as organised.
Sunday wasn't great with Spurs not turning up costing me a few points and the both to score treble going down early as Milan were thumped 5-0 at Milan.

Just to add something about Sean’s question about keeping a betting bank yesterday, I think it’s good, I also record every daily profit or loss and end of the month I calculate the net balance, like an accountant, I’m very serious about it because I bet for money, I don’t bet for fun, I’m in it for the money.

Blackburn Rovers entertain local rivals Wigan Athletic in high spirits on a count of their six-match unbeaten streak (W5, D1), their longest run without losing a Championship game since Aug 2018. Often quick out of the blocks, Rovers have scored four of their last six league goals inside the first 14 minutes!

I’m going to have a punt on Blackburn’s too goalscorer scoring from outside the box. Midfielder Bradley Dack loves to score from outside the box. He’s 18/1 to score anytime from outside the box with the same bet only 11/1 with Hills. Looking at the card markets, in their precious 3 meetings there have been 7, 6 and 6 bookings. I’m looking at bookings for Wigan and backing two favourites to be booked. Sam Morsy has the highest amount of bookings this season with 8 and he’s as short as odds on to be shown a card. Another player Joe Garner is as short as 13/8 to be booked. I done betbuilder for the double which came out at 13/2. Betfair betbuiider is 5/1 and Bet Victor is 10/1. I think 10/1 is a fair price. Just giving my 10p worth. Both chisnall and de zwaan can fire in the 180s so seems a nice price on the handicap but no bet from me.
Anderson hitting 7 180s in 10 legs is obviously outstanding but on average I’d say he hits a 180 every 3 legs or so. Should still have plenty of time to cover this line as even though his 180 hitting is still there, the rest of his game is not 100% so can’t see him battering searle who played very well in the last round.
I always hate betting on wright 180s as you never know what darts he is going to be using, however in his press conference after the last round he said he’s sticking with this set all tournament. Unsure if I can take his word for it as he wasn’t all that convincing in the first round. However that being said if he does stick with those darts I expect him to cover this line fairly easily. Will probably wait to see what darts he’s using just to be safe before I join you with this one. Apologies if I rambled.
