Top Football Tips

IT was Halloween night and Dundee suffered a horror show as Celtic landed the Super Single.

Jim McIntyre must be scared stiff every time his team take to the pitch and a 5-0 loss followed 4-0 and 3-0 defeats in his first two games in charge.

The Super Single was Celtic -2 so returned 3.4pts but that profit was wiped out by two losing Top Trebles that were both close – Blackpool's consolation at Arsenal beating one and Livingston not scoring against St Johnstone the other.

I should have stuck with my treble in the Daily Record that won at 26-5 but at least readers were in the money.

So that's another month gone and another profitable one to make it 90 points up in September and October – and I'm hoping November produces a nice profit too although we have another infuriating international break.

On Thursday the main game is Man City v Fulham and while both sides will make sweeping changes this should end up in a home win.

I'm not as confident about maccathered about City's star-studded reserves running up a big score but City and over 2.5 match goals should land and that kicks off the treble.

There are six Copa del Rey ties including Cadiz v Espanyol. If this was a one-legged affair I'd take Espanyol at just over evens to win at Segunda Division Cadiz who sit 19th after just two wins in 11.

La Liga side Espanyol are unbeaten in five and because they have a return to come in Barcelona I'm backing Espanyol draw no bet.

Complete the treble with over 2.5 goals at Zulte v Standard Liege in the Belgian league. Zulte have conceded 32 goals in 12 outings and a decent Standard side, unbeaten in six and with a draw at leaders Genk last time out, should win with plenty of goals scored.

The treble pays just 19-10 but hopefully lands. If you want better odds consider the straight Espanyol win or add Villarreal at Almeria or both to score at Celta Vigo v Real Sociedad or even over 2.5 match goals at Vilanovense v Sevilla.

Well done to all the winners last night and keep them coming in November.

Remember to check out the excellent welovebetting site for their tips and video chat.

2pts Top Treble

  • Man City & over 2.5 match goals
  • Zulte v Standard Liege over 2.5 match goals (5pm)
  • Espanyol draw no bet (5.30pm)
  • (19-10, Coral)

    ANDERLECHT v LOKEREN
    Belgian First Division A. Thursday November 1. Kick-off 1.30pm.

AN afternoon kick off at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium as Anderlecht entertain Lokeren. Home side Anderlecht currently sit fourth in the league seven points adrift of joint leaders Brugge and Genk while the visitors sit 15th (second bottom) on goal difference.

Anderlecht are unbeaten at home this season having won four and drawn two from six games while Lokeren have only gained one point on their travels from their six games. Worth noting the last four games Lokeren have lost by the same score of 2-1.

The H2H also points to a home victory as the last time Lokeren beat Anderlecht was in the 2013-2014 season when they did the double. In the last 11 meetings Anderlecht have won eight and drawn three however in those 11 meetings both teams have scored in eight.

Anderlecht to win is no value at 1-4 however there may be a little value in the following.

    Recommended bets
Anderlecht to win and BTTS ( 7-4, Ladbrokes and Coral) 1 pt win
Anderlecht to win by one goal (3-1, Boylesports) 1pt win
Anderlecht to win 2-1 (17-2, Betvictor) 0.5 pts win

    Repost from Tuesday

    Eredivisie – Saturday

    NAC v Heracles

I had a goals bet in the last home game of NAC and I like the goal line in Saturday’s fixture again. NAC are struggling in the Eredivisie in 17th place. NAC scored 11 goals in 10 games this season and conceded 24. In 7 of their 10 games this season there were over 2.5 goals. NAC failed to score in 3 games this season. They didn’t scored against strong opposition AZ and PSV. They also didn’t score in their home game against Excelsior, but missed a penalty in that game. NAC only has 1 clean sheet in 10 games when they beat fellow strugglers De Graafschap 3-0. In their last 4 home games NAC conceded 2+ in all of them. NAC host Heracles who are in 4th in the Eredivisie and scored 24 goals this season, the most goals in the league behind PSV and Ajax. In 8 of their 10 games there were more than 2.5 goals and in 7 of 10 more than 3.5 goals. Heracles conceded 20 goals this season and only had 1 clean sheet (against De Graafschap). Heracles conceded a total of 14 goals in their 5 away games. I think we see plenty of goals on Saturday evening.

    Over 2.75 Asian goals @ 1.85

    Eredivisie – Sunday

    Heerenveen v Emmen

It’s the early kick-off on Sunday. Heerenveen host promoted Emmen. Heerenveen had a tough run of fixtures since the beginning of the season, especially at home. They hosted the teams who are now in 2nd till 5th place in the league and a game against Den Haag, who are also difficult to beat. They only played once against a team in 15th or below and that was a 0-5 win at De Graafschap. Heerenveen already scored 23 goals in 10 games and scored 3+ in 6 of their 10 games. Emmen haven’t won in their last 5 games and they couldn’t beat VVV at the weekend who got a red card after 19 minutes. Emmen lost 5-0 at Ajax, 6-0 at PSV and 1-4 against AZ. I think Heerenveen can do the same to them with their attacking players Lammers (6 goals), Vlap (6) and Thorsby (5).

    Heerenveen -0.75 Asian handicap @ 1.75

    Keuken Kampioen Divisie – Monday

Jong PSV v FC Den Bosch

It’s busy times for PSV and there are a lot of players switching between their teams. PSV played in the cup on Tuesday with some players from Jong PSV in the starting XI (which they lost in ET). Another bunch of Jong PSV play an away game at Derby County in the Premier League International cup on Wednesday evening. Then there is the league game against Vitesse on Saturday which also could feature some Jong PSV players. But the most important is that PSV and PSV under 19’s will play against Spurs on Tuesday in the Champions League and UEFA Youth League. Their squads will be in London on Monday and on that Monday night Jong PSV play a league game against FC Den Bosch.

Long story short. Jong PSV could be without 11 players for the Monday game including their goalkeeper Van Osch. Defenders Obispo, Teze and Soulas. Midfielders Junior, Lundqvist, Rigo, Sadilek, Ramselaar and strikers Piroe and Gakpo. They play Den Bosch who won the last 5 games in a row and haven’t had a game in midweek. Den Bosch only conceded 2 goals in their last 5 games. The game will also not be played at the PSV youth complex, but at the stadium of FC Eindhoven for the first time this season. That is enough for me to take the home side on and give Den Bosch a +0.50 start on the Asian handicap.

FC Den Bosch +0.50 Asian handicap @ 1.75

I don’t know how Fulham are going to go about their business here they can’t defend for shit and they look doomed in the premier league,City on the other hand are doing what they do best and thats winning games. Now City do take this comp very serious and i expect them to wipe the floor here against a very naive Fulham side. The problem with Fulham as with Wolves is they came into the Premier league and are trying to play expansive football because they have spent a lot of money and it simply doesn’t work like that,Wolves have gotten away with it but now it’s catching up with them after losing their last two games but Fulham haven’t they have been in free fall since day one.The problem now is confidence they have none and after tonight’s game it will be shot even further, now i wonder how long these managers can keep being naive for before they change their attitudes and learn they are not as good as they think!

    • Mr Fixit 5 years ago

I think your tips are brave and I’m sure City will win with plenty to spare.
But surely it will be a reserve side – still with quality – and they won’t be bursting a gut.

    • gaz1105 5 years ago

Agree with Macca, Pep will no doubt rotate but the likes of Jesus, Sane, Foden and Diaz will all start and think KDB will get an or so to build match fitness. I’m assuming with the 6 pointer coming on Monday, Fulham will rest a few and see City winning by atleast 4 or 5 for sure.

    • Mr Fixit 5 years ago

I think they’ll win with the reserves no problem but I can’t take them to score seven or eight.

    • maccathered 5 years ago

Man City’s reserves would beat this Fulham team,De Bruyne should start he needs the game time and as gaz rightly says Fulham have more pressing games to think about, goals for me is a no brainer just hope there is lots of them.I would kick myself if City win 8-0 and i hadn’t taken the totals at the prices on offer.

    • maccathered 5 years ago

Also Pep takes this comp seriously so i do expect a good team put out. It’s like a back up cup to City because if they don’t win the league or Champs league then this cup is still seen as a success to Man City, where as Liverpool if they don’t win the league or the champions league then this cup really is nothing to them as it’s not seen as a success this is where the difference lies with big clubs.

    • gaz1105 5 years ago

Trophy is a trophy and the city juggernaut goes on collecting them. Your statement of what success is to ‘big clubs’ is typical arrogance of a club living in the past. 80s have long gone but Liverpool fans can’t accept that

    • maccathered 5 years ago

What a stupid statement, why are Liverpool living in the past??they have been in 3 major finals recently,Liverpool are a massive club where standards are high(one of the biggest clubs in the world),Liverpool set the standards in English football so why would we settle for a mediocre cup??we want league titles and champions league titles not some tinpot cup.

    • maccathered 5 years ago

Man City were singing songs about Liverpool on monday night we don’t even consider them being our rivals.

    • maccathered 5 years ago

As for the Man City juggernaut i haven’t seen them in a champions league final since they became good.A tinpot cup is ok for a club of City’s size but big clubs want better.

      “since they became good”????

    • hombre3000 5 years ago

Very easy to state cup means nothing to Liverpool after being knocked out mate! They have won this cup the most times so they clearly do value it!Pretty sure silverware of any kind is important to them! And in terms of city im pretty sure they expect fully and most likely will win the premier league and they will expect to go further than they ever have in the champs league. No way can you make a statement saying this cup means more to city than Liverpool. Totally agree with MR F that city will win but could never tip anything like 8 goals and would want higher odds than 14/1 imo. I’d recommend sticking with mr F’s 02.5gls as their reserves should prove to strong for Fulham but can’t see cricket score lines.

    • maccathered 5 years ago

I can see cricket scorelines, thats why i bet the totals i have. The fans do not see the Carabao cup as success, the f.a cup yes but not the league cup.

    Midtjylland > 1.5 TGS 10/11
    BTTS & Overs 10/11
Middtjylland have a good record of late against Copenhagen having won 5/last 6 scoring 17 goals – and in good form in the league (Copenhagen have also netted 10 in these games) – 5/6 were BTTS & Overs. Mid’land average 2.8 goals scored and Copenhagen 2.5 goals in last 8 – and both sides over 1 goal conceded on average. Recent H2H – 3-1, 0-2, 3-2, 3-1, 4-3, 3-2. Slightly risky as a cup game – however both sides seem to take the cup “seriously” with Copenhagen having won it 8 times and the more recently formed Middtyland the runner up 4 times

@kf I thought the same! 1-0 Grazer set the second half up beautifully and I was feeling confident. But for all of Kapfenberg’s huffing, they couldn’t net. I’ll take the breakaway goals though, which is often the benefit of cup football as sides chase the game the late on.

@warktheline – cheers pal! Sometimes you’ve just got to know when a little break is needed. October wasn’t a horrendous month but I was on a torrid streak towards the back end. New month, fresh start and hopefully those late goals are a sign of my luck changing!

    Sweden Allsvenskan
    🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪
    🏟Ostersunds FK v AIK
    ⏰6pm kick off

2 bets for me here today as a single at evens and a double at 1.15/1

    ⛳Corners⛳

ostersunds have achieved a line of over 8 corners in their last 4 matches with a score of
    12 corners vs norrkoppings (8-4)
    10 corners vs hacken (8-2)
    9 corners vs Dalkurd (6-3)
    9 corners v Djurgarden (8-1)

with this in mind and having looked also at AIK corners and seen they have achieved at least 3 themselves per game with an average of 88.78% seen at least 7 corners in the last 11 games.
Corner line I feel is VERY generous at:

    🔺over 9 1/1
    🔺over 8 8/13
    🔺over 7 4/11

however I also looked at these teams for goals and noticed the value in the 1.5 market with the last 10 in a row seen over 1.5 achieved for Ostersunds and 7 of them have seen over 2.5 goals so the 1/3 on offer is again very generous in my reasoning especially when AIK has seen 8 from the last 10 also achieve the 1.5 on offer.

💥 2 bets for me on this game are 💥

    👉 NAP over 9 corners at 1/1
    👉Over 1.5 goals and over 8 corners at 1/3 and 8/13 combined for 1.15/1

    Afternoon gents,

No joy last night but staying in SA and heading to Peru for the Night Owl…

    SPORT HUANCAYO VS. SPORT ROSARIO
    (2245 KO)

Could well be goals in this one and I reckon their just may be a bit of value about the hosts ability to find the net!

Rosario are in dire form and have conceded a brace or more in 7 of the last 11 games and in 100% of their last 4 successive games.

With hosts Huancayo hitting 3 and 2 in their last 2 at home and the fact that the last H2H in August finished with 6 goals, there seems to be plenty of attraction for the following two selections:

    HUANCAYO OVER 1.5 TGS…4/6

    🌟🌟🌟🌟

    HUANCAYO OVER 2.5 TGS…9/4

Evening all been a while, but just some info on the FC Midtjylland vs FCK game.

FCM look the stronger team on paper and form plus the advantage on home soil. FCK have left a lot of First teamers on the bench.

The odds have dropped on a home win which I feel is still I descent price. I will take the 1.72 on offer for 2 FC Midtjylland goals.

They will be desperate to knock the 8 times cup winners out and give themselves a huge chance in winning it for the first time themselves

FC Midtjylland 2+ team goals @1.72
    3+ @3.50 for the brave. 😉

Narrow margins last night – a goal short in the Eupen game for both the single and 3.6/1 treble….onwards. Not had much time tonight but sticking a third stake on the mighty Leinster senior league:

Over 2.5mgls double pays 6/5 or so:

Portlaoise AFC v Templeogue United FC
    St Francis v Kilbarrack

    👉Nap over 9 corners at 1/1 ✅
    👉Over 1.5 goals and over 8 corners at 1/3 and 8/13 combined for 1.15/1✅

    Justified write up 😁
    I’ll take that 🔥🔥

    TOMORROW:

One game that I’m fond of. Price is a little skinny though so I’m taking on some extra risk in beefing up the odds.

    Ballymena v Glenavon

Ballymena started the season without a pitch to play on. Their opening 9 domestic fixtures were played away from home or at a neutral venue and, in the circumstances, their form was reasonably solid. Aside from a 4-0 away defeat at today’s opponents Glenavon, they scored 22 goals across 9 games away from home soil. That difficult run included away trips to all of the best sides that Northern Ireland has to offer. 3-2 and 2-1 defeats at Cliftonville and Linfield were separated by a 2-2 draw at Coleraine and, on reflection, they only conceded 4 without reply at Glenavon once going down to 10 men.

Since the Showgrounds reopened its doors, Ballymena have gone 5 games unbeaten. They’ve scored 10 goals in those games and kept things tight at the back against weaker opposition before brushing aside defending champions Crusaders 3-0. That result has set up tonight’s 1st v 3rd tie against Glenavon up nicely.
Once a side traditionally found at the other end of the table, Glenavon have scored 30 goals in 12 league games to top the table with a game in hand over Linfield. In fact, in the past few years, Glenavon have been a cracking side to follow. They would score as many goals as they would concede and upset the apple cart a little among the established sides by getting amongst the title picture.

Interestingly, they’ve done their better work away from home so far this season. 18 goals have been scored in 6 away victories, but they’ve only managed to keep the one clean sheet at Ards. In fact, they have just 3 clean sheets to their name all season. And I repeat, the first of those, in the 4-0 win against Ballymena, was certainly aided by Ballymena going down to 10 men.

Glenavon rotated in an obscure cup competition in midweek when coming from behind to beat championship opposition 3-2, so the first XI should be fresh. Then there’s the H2H record – for those who are fans of it. 12 of the last 18 meetings have seen BTTS and Overs land. However, the last 11 consecutive meetings at The Showgrounds dating back to August 2013 have seen BTTS and Overs land. That includes the following scorelines (3-1, 1-6, 2-1, 3-4, 3-3, 1-7, 2-4, 1-4, 1-2, 2-1, 3-6).

This has the potential to be a cracker. I like the look of BTTS and hopefully that will lead to goals.

    3/4 Stake:

Ballymena v Glenavon [BTTS & O2.5 Match Goals]
San Jose v Guabira [O1.5 Match Goals]

    Double @ 49/50 (Bet365)
    ______________________

No write up necessary for San Jose. The single in NI is available at 8/11, which I would advise, but I’ll take the chance of nudging the odds a little higher.

    Good luck all.

Results went as predicted in the mls playoffs last night, Nycfc taking care of philadelphia at home and Timbers beating out of form Dallas away.

DC united arguably the form team coming into the playoffa are 13/8 to win against Columbus at home tonight. The crew done a job on Atlanta last season away from home, they will.look to frustrate rooney and co.
In my opinion Acosta will for DC will be the difference. If you want a safer option Dc United are 3/4 to qualify.

An entertaining game should be had in LA, Lafc in their first season of the mls have done well to get into the playoffs, with home advantage th3y should be too strong for salt lake, salt lake like to attack so this looks like an open gamw which should provide goals.

Remember at this stage of the playoffs it is one off game knock out round.

Semi finals of each conference start on Sunday evening, a cracker to start us off with nycfc v atlanta

    • fraser51 5 years ago

      Columbud win on penalties!

Dc went 1-0 up but overall lacked creativity during the match, columbus better team and got the leveller.
Columbus then went in the lead in extra time but a fine strike from dc out of nowhere sent the game to pens.

Rooney and Acosta both had their penalties saved.

Columbus back to their best tonight.

    Evening all,

    Honduras u20 v Dominican Rep u20
    Kick off 23.15

Honduras come into this as a much more experienced unit. Having played a number of games as a squad aswell as competing at the u20 world cup.

Dominican Republic on the other hand are new on the international scene.

Whilst Honduras aren’t exactly world beaters, I expect a comfortable win.

Having a pretty profitable day on the CONCACAF Championships so far.

    Honduras-2
    Over 1.5 first half goals
    Over 3.5 total match goals

These won’t make us millionaires but a small win over a small loss.
    Good luck guys 👍🏼

Having a look at saturdays card

Given the tragic events of last weekend i think the leicester game will be a passionate affair, over 10 leicester booking points is evens, shite logic given the circumstances in all honesty but can see this being the case and a good price

    • Mr Fixit 5 years ago

Difficult to tell how Leicester will perform after such a tough week. My gut feeling says they’ll go all out to win it for their late owner but who know how their bodies will react.
