IT'S a busy weekend with big games north and south of the border – plenty of derbies and the Scottish Cup quarter-finals.

Well done to all the winners on Friday on what looked to be a tough set of results with the likes of Dortmund and Inter losing and well-fancied West Brom being thrashed at Leeds.

I think bookies are very wary about these matches involving two teams who aren’t really going anywhere. To price one up as heavy favourites is a big risk.

Stockport v Spennymoor – Saturday 3PM
Keeping this one brief and to the point. As you know, County are my go-to team this season. Both teams in excellent winning and scoring form, sitting in 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
For me this will go one of two ways… a tightly fought low scoring affair between two teams that don’t concede much at all – OR – an open game between two teams both highly capable of finding the net, desperate for the points to challenge for the title/promotion which will see them scoring. This will be one of County’s toughest opponents yet, but at Edgeley Park I think they will just about do enough to get over the line for the win.
I think both teams will score, with County the most likely victors. For County to win this game I think they’re going to have to score twice. Putting my money where my mouth is here, for what seems decent value.
