CELTIC strolled into the next round of Champions League qualifying but it was hardly the performance Brendan Rodgers was looking for.
I was watching Clydebank win 6-0 so didn't see any of the match from Rosenborg but reports suggest it was pretty dull affair with the Scottish champs doing just what was needed.
My Super Single was Odsonne Edouard to score and he went closest before being subbed late on as Celtic eased off – and they now face a tougher test against AEK Athens.
The Celtic game was one of two 0-0s on my both to score treble so it was a poor night.
Well done to all the winners including HullShaker with a cracker from Iceland.
Thursday's all about the Europa League and I've posted a separate preview featuring games between Burnley v Aberdeen, Asteras v Hibs and Rangers v Osijek.
My attention is now on the weekend league openers and further anteposts but I've picked out a Europa League treble and goals treble.
Start with RB Leipzig at Hacken. The Bundesliga giants won 4-0 at home and should add to their lead against a side that's lost four and drawn one of their last five.
Add AEK Larnaca at home to Dundalk. They were held 0-0 by the Irish last week but should finish them off in Cyprus where the heat will be on their side.
Complete the treble with Maribor who will face the winners of Rangers v Osijek. The Slovenians are tough campaigners at this level and should see off Chikhura after a 0-0 draw away.
For now I'm going with Aberdeen to score at Burnley at a decent price and over 2.5 goals at Asteras. Hibs' last four competitive games have totalled 32 goals and there could be plenty more in Greece.
Aberdeen are out of they don't score so will give it a go. Burnley have been rocked by injury to No.1 keeper Tom Pope and with Tom Heaton also injured it will Anders Lindegaard between the sticks.

Burnley vs Aberdeen
My prediction for the Clarets tomorrow is a narrow 1-0 victory, I expect us to just about scrape through by the skin of our teeth. Anders Lindegaard should do an adequate job between the sticks. I would strongly recommend not taking the 4/11 available on the WIN though, no value and very risky given that two of our best creative outlets will be out with injury. We are unlikely to kill the game off if we take a desired lead early on, it is simply not the Burnley way, it will be to get bodies behind the ball and grind out a narrow victory.

Yeah they’re in very good form, best possible form going into this match. I know Evergrande have had a poor start to the season, by their standards, but they’ve very recently strengthened the squad with a couple of new signings and I think the 2 away losses were a blip, and can’t see past their excellent winning record against Tianjin. Have amended my picks to match goals in this game rather than team goals for a bit of coverage. I think both CSL games today will see 3+ goals.

It’s rare that I get involved in the Europa League qualifiers for no other reason than I don’t know enough about many of the teams and the leagues they come from.
I’ll make an exception tonight though as my old favourites FH welcome Israeli side Hapoel Haifa to Hafnarfjordur…
FH VS. HAPOEL HAIFA (2015 KO):
I was kicking myself when I missed the 1st leg as FH produced their usual party trick by scoring and conceding a goal; looks like the ‘FH Special’ is universally accepted and not just contained to the Urvalsdeild!
I raised the development (or defensive regression) of their inability to keep the sheets clean around 18 months ago, and they have never really got out of the rut and although this season has seen a slight improvement, out of their last 76 games in all competitions over a 2 year spell, they have conceded at least 1 goal in 60!
With the tie poised at 1-1, both teams can’t afford to sit back and play with apathy and I believe both will go for it; Haifa are no mugs and sit 453rd in the Continental rankings whilst FH are much further down the list at 928th so there’s a benchmark for the general ‘quality’ of each side in the wider footballing world.

In true Hibs fashion it was another case of “we’ll score more than you” as they came from 2-0 down at half time and i must admit i said at that point they were dead and burried but 3 second half goals gave them 3-2 lead to take to Greece and gives them a terrific chance of getting through to the next qualifying round. It was no suprise our man Kamberi scored again and he is a real threat going forward. really tough game to call but what you can bet on is Hibs will definitley concede
