THE English season ends tonight with the League One play-off final between Coventry and Exeter and it promises to be an exciting climax.
Coventry are the slight favourites after demolishing Notts County in the semi-finals but it could go either way and hopefully there will be goals although stats suggest otherwise. I'll post a preview first thing in the morning.
Elsewhere it's mostly about Scandinavia and international friendlies as we count down in earnest to the start of the World Cup.
As always team news is vital and for these it's better seeing line-ups before deciding whether to have a bet.
The Russia qualifiers will be treating the games more seriously than those who didn't make it but at the same time they'll want to protect key players from injury.

Sorry @kyle-b – didn’t see this in time! At the prices, only Green Gully really tempted but they were very poor by all accounts against Hume last time out. I read somewhere that they had a few players missing for that game and it apparently showed. Couldn’t find any info from the same source about what their team would be today so I gave them a pass.

Tuesday sees a return to the Icelandic 4 Deild and I’m staying in Group A with a team that nailed it for me in their opening fixture…
STÁL-ÚLFUR VS. ÝMIR (2000 KO):
Ymir ran out emphatic 6-0 victors against KB in game week 1 and have looked strong in the pre-league cups wirh some cracking wins; their last 16 competitive games have seen 6-5-4-21-7-8-3-4-5-2-6-5-15-19-4-8 match goals…I’ll not bother working out an average as the 19, 15 and 21 games skew the figures but nevertheless, not too shabby.
Conversely, Stal-Ulfur’s fortunes are less pretty and more sh*tty with their 3-0 opening day loss to Berserkir making it 6 games without a win and 3 losses on the bounce whilst conceding 3-2-4-2-4 goals across the last 5 games.
These two last met just over 12 months ago – the result being 7-0 to Ymir and I’m taking the visitors to wear down the hosts and inflict more damage in the latter parts of the game as happens so often in the Icelandic lower leagues.
