UNUSUALLY there is a fabulous Friday night offering from the Premier League and I hope Arsenal v Liverpool is a cracker that helps me get through a busy night at the Record.
Liverpool have looked good in recent weeks and will be fancied by many at 19-10 with Betway but Arsenal remain strong at home having won eight out of nine and often raise their game for matches like this.
Their only defeat came against Man United when defensive blunders cost them. We know Liverpool's backline isn't the greatest so goals could be the way to go rather than try to pick a result. Both to score is just 1-2 and over 2.5 goals so bookies expect it.

Final Verdict – Goals on the cards

With the Gunners almost always scoring at home, I really expect this one to produce BTTS and over 2.5 goals and the bookies agree, pricing BTTS @4/9 and over 2.5 goals @1/2. The double @4/5 makes more sense in a match that has seen that outcome in 7 of the last 9 contests.
Arsenal have only scored 1 goal in each of their last 4 PL games but I do expect more chances for them to score here with this fixture so often proving to be a high-scoring, end to end game of chances, goals and big drama.
While goals at both ends seem inevitable again, I just can’t see Liverpool losing this one with Arsenal really failing to impress since their 3.1 home loss to Man United and with the ‘Pool in such good form themselves, and boasting a really good recent record over Arsenal, I fancy the visitors to claim the spoils and score at least 2 goals with Wenger’s side really struggling for form in the last month.
Liverpool to score 2 or more @1/1 is my NAP of the weekend, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they could score 3 or more at super sexy odds of 10/3. I’ve got a major complaint to make about BETFAIR
Last night I placed 4 bets on Oakleigh Cannons U20 v Kingston U20, all of which won
The game kicked off at 07:30 and ended 4-1 to Kingston U20.
I logged in earlier today to check my winnings but the bets had not settled, so I contacted Betfair. When I checked again they have INCORRECTLY settled the result as the SENIORS Oakleigh Cannons v Kingston – meaning the bets lost
I bet on the U20s game!!! it even said 07:30 on the bet slip for the kick of time and also said this in my OPEN BETS
I’ve contacted them and they are saying the following;
“I have just taken a look and they all appear to have been placed on the senior game I’m afraid, if there were any sort of mapping issues this would have been flagged by the system and we would have received many reports from our customers. I’m terribly sorry about this but all of these bets appear to have been settled correctly.”
THIS ISN’T THE CASE – I placed it on the Under 20 game and had the confirmation – but they’ve moved my bets into SETTLED and changed them to the Senior selections!

It’s a difficult one because obviously you are the only person who knows he placed the correctly and without a screen grab or proof I don’t where you go.
If they’ve changed anything that’s not right and if I was you I’d ask to speak to someone senior and ask them to check whether the web problems you say they had did affect your bets.
Also do you normally bet on Under-20s games? If so they can check your history and that would be in your favour.

They have seriously screwed me over here, I clearly selected the U20 match and had confirmation for the 07:30 kick off time. This isn’t a case of selecting the wrong game.
They are trying to pull a fast one here.

I ALWAYS place my bets on my mobile and take a screenshot once I have placed it.
Some of these bookmakers are taking liberties, and established tipsters like Paul need to start encouraging punters to have copies of their bets.
To be fair bookies can’t be seen to be changing anything and this is rare.
Sounds like an error to me but one they should be investigating thoroughly.
But you wouldn’t go wrong taking copies of your bets – and always check the bet before hitting the button.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, and in future I will take screenshots – it was taken on my mobile phone yes.
I’ve never had a problem with BETFAIR but since their website went off line all day yesterday it has had problems.
One thing I noticed when making my selections was that they had TWO options for each of the goals markets for this Under 20s game… for example on 1st Half Goals they had 2 options for Over 0.5 FHGls, 2 options for Over 1.5 FHGls etc. etc.
The most recent games I’ve been betting on – the past 3 selections have all been on the U20s/Youth games – it’s been a profitable market for me hence doing so.
I’d go back to them and say you’re not happy. Tell them about the web problems and two options and also about your recent bets on youth matches.
Worst scenario is they should return your stake.
I’ve said the service has been shocking with all the website and mobile app issues – both were offline for OVER 12 hours yesterday! It’s as if they were hacked.
They said they are looking into it now. If I only get my stakes returned I’ll be pretty p’d off because all 4 selections were winners and almost doubled my total stake. It had better not be a worse outcome that that….

Tbh I doubt if they’ve changed anything deliberately, your fifty sovs isnt going to bring them down if they pay out, but purely as a goodwill gesture they should return the stake as it’s your word against theirs so I can’t see how anyone can prove they are right.
