I HAD my first bets in three days and both were winners so that was pleasing.
The Super Single was England Women and they destroyed Norway 3-0 to reach the semi-finals o the World Cup. Key defenders Steph Houghton and Millie Bright started after reports had earlier ruled them out.
England probably didn't need them, although Houghton played another stormer, and Phil Neville's women were superb all over the park with third scorer Lucy Bronze a standout.
Next up it's France or USA who meet tonight in what many are billing the game of the tournament. Can't pick a winner but there should be goals.
My other bet on Thursday was a double on USA to beat Panama at the Gold Cup and btts at Germany v Romania U-21s at 6-4.
Well done to all the winners including Scott who is on great form with his members bet. Thursday's success paid 29-20.
On Friday we also have Morocco v Ivory Coast and South Africa v Namibia at the Africa Cup of Nations and Venezuela v Argentina in the second of the Copa America quarter-finals after Brazil edged past Paraguay 4-3 on penalties in the early hours of the morning.
My focus is writing my Saturday column for the Daily Record but I've picked out a double – both to score in the women's game and Venezuela +2 against Argentina.
Once again big guns Argentina have flattered to deceive with their only win against Qatar but of course with the likes of Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero in their line-up they can come alive at any time. Venezuela have done well and are a nation on the up and I expect them to run their more illustrious rivals close.
