Gents, what is the protocol on betting company cancelling bets without any notice?
As way of a background, I placed a £5 bet on an ante post at 70/1. This bet was placed 30th July and was marked as void and refunded this morning around 11am. I have checked the betting company’s website to find this ante post now priced at 16/5. How can this be fair?
Surely they should have to honour bets at the original odds, especially since no notice or explanation has been given.
They are allowed to cancel bets if a price has been wrongly quoted.
Human error or a technical problem will probably be the excuse used.
It would be a nice if they gave an explanation though.
Bookies can basically do what they want. Been on the receiving end of this a few times before and u can’t win against them. They will have themselves covered for this kind of thing in the t&c’s somewhere.
