NFL tonight sees the browns take on the steelers at the firstenergy stadium. The spread has been fluctuating between 2.5 and 3 for this game with the browns as home field favourites. However my pick is the steelers to cover the spread in this one.
Cleveland were an outside bet for the Super Bowl this year by many fans with the acquisition of Odell beckham showing intent, however they haven’t lived up to expectation and I feel it’s down to Freddie kitchens. Kareem Hunt played his first game last outing after his 8 game suspension ended and he’s a good addition to the offence, they also have Nick Chubb who’s 3rd in the league rushing yard statistics but even with those the play calling just isn’t there and until that changes I can’t see the browns mounting a surge.
The AFC North has been severely one sided recently with the steelers against the browns, you have to go back to December 2014 since the browns last won!
The steelers defence has been the big reason why they’ve gone from 1-4 to 5-4 and they are on a 4 game win streak, the browns edged the bills last week but they will struggle tonight. The steelers are ranked 1st in sacks and that trend will continue tonight. Even if the browns are in the mood for this one, the steelers defence will keep scores close.
