AS expected Celtic, Rangers and Wolves battled into the group stage of the Europa League – even if Steven Gerrard's men left it late.
Alfredo Morelos' 90th-minute goal broke Legia Warsaw hearts and more importantly ended Scott's run of losers on the members bet by bringing up his double.
My two trebles were beaten by one (again) but well done to all the other winners including Chris Guy with 9-1 anytime scorer Seb Larsson at AIK v Celtic and shortee with his both to score Nap at Qarabag v Linfield that came up late.

Just before I logged off, I read a write up about Shankland for Dundee Utd on a stats site, thought to myself, I wonder if anyone north of the border is on this/aware of this. 3 games, 4 goals, 1 goal and 2 goals I think in those three matches. Damn !! To tell the truth, I know little about Scottish football and rarely bet on first goal-scorers, but I’m sure somebody on here will capitalize. Kudos to you for bringing it up though.

Overs 0.5’s tmgs challenge week one summary:
Both bets yesterday again landed nicely, although the kettle beat me to the punch on the Celtic goal that came a touch too early for me. I needed a brew, I made one, come back and missed a 1/10 boost from Celtic. I stuck by my rules though and never chased a 2nd goal in the same match. Always always always the same, when it rains, it pours.
I predicted too that Wolves would score and also win, but I stuck again to my plan. Only a 1/12 boost from that but it equates to an Ok 8.5% gain. Looking at all of the European qualifiers, yesterday saw a goal or more in EVERY game. I have to be ruthless though with cutting games from my list. Incidentally, I followed but never bet on Rangers. They did the biz in injurytime.
As has been pointed out, any muppet can pick a game with a goal in it, but can you avoid the duds? Well yes, if you have a plan, some rules and stick to them. All leagues around the world will typically yield between 87 and 93% chance of a goal or more. Some leagues are better than others.
I know it’s slow progress and your pot is barely moving up, but it’s moving up. Of 8 or 9 days that this challenge has been running, I’ve had 1 or 2 bet free days. My brain needs recharging and I just need to switch off + there isn’t always the right game choices to form a preliminary list. But of those 8 or 9 days, we’ve actually managed to nail 7 straight betting days that have yielded all winners. No ” Dog bombs on the snow covered footie pitch “. It takes some discipline taking this slowly. I’ve often nailed a 37%+ gain daily, and inside 5-7 days, often hit the £100 mark with 4x £5’s banked. A 1100% gain in a week. But I’ve kept the brakes on purposely to give this as good a chance as possible to work.
I’ve a £5 banked and my working pot stands at £35 + loose change. Or 300% profit from 8 or 9 days/7 betting days. Some of you guys may be above or below me, but I’m concentrating on safety and not a cricket score.
If you’ve been like me and kept this nice and steady, you’ve already learned to be patient, pick off an odd game or two and move onto the next day. I like the idea of the long game. It’s a challenge to stay grounded.
Onto the next day of footie:
Having read up about Shanklands laser guided shooting boots since he signed for Dundee United, I’m inclined to agree there might be a goal or more in the Dundee derby. BUT, it is a derby – which is a red flag, plus, they kick off at 19:45hrs.
I’m looking at finding something – possibly a double in Dutch or French footie kicking off at 19:00hrs, The goal gods have been kind to us of late and most games have delivered 15-20 mins before and upto ht. This would work in our favour if we were to be steering towards a dive into the Dundee game. But I don’t wish to be greedy. Or over reach.
I’ve a busy day tomorrow and from 7pm onwards, I am fully tied up. So I shall get some sleep, ponder the stats over a fresh cuppa tomorrow and try to find you something worthwhile.
Doing a double seems the logical choice, but it depends on what I find tomorrow afternoon.

Onto tonight and at first glance it looks tricky to find anything decent for goals but might have a little dabble on something later,
I just stole money off a bookie, has a bet on an Algerian u21 game so had my FlashScores set to let me know when the goals went in. It was 1-1 then the home team scored to go 2-1 up, when I went on bookies site they was still showing it as 1-1 so I stuck £25 on over 2.5 goals and £25 on the home team to score the next goal, wish I’d had hundreds on now but didn’t know whether to trust FlashScores(thinking the goal may have been disallowed) Got me thinking though, how many more games could this happen in and as anyone else ever come across out like this?

@gazh I’ve had similar before, was in bookies watching a match and was 1-1…home team was something like 8/1 to score and away was 1/8 (can’t remember the exact odds) anyway away team score again and when they updated the odds for the 4th goal they made a mistake and mixed up the odds on the home and away next goal so I got 8/1 on away to score when it should have been 1/8… The fella saw it too but still let me put the bet down, it came in shortly after! I only put a tenner on thinking they would void it. Gutted I didn’t go big, worse case I would have got my stake refunded, but didn’t think about that!
They was on the ball later in match, had phone glued to my hand waiting for another goal, but it already been updated on the bookies. Missed my once in a lifetime chance to get rich!! Ha
With coral/Ladbroke there is a neat glitch for cash out option, I prob won over £500 over a year then I missed the cash out because it was suspended and I won something like £350 from a quid but they argued it was a glitch and put it down to about £200 and limited my account so can’t make big bets, Ladbrokes then followed suit and limited me too but it’s a good glitch and still going on! Message me if you want, not sharing with everyone as it’ll be fixed within minutes if I post it publicly! Time consuming but free money!

It’s great to have the Dundee derby back on the calendar and and it could also be great for cards. 59 cards have been issued in the last 11 Dundee derbies – an average of over 5 per game. Furthermore, card happy Kevin Clancy takes charge at Tannadice tonight.
