Top Football Tips

THE first day of 2019 was a cracker for many with Desmond the star of the show with a 74-1 winner.

Our goal king's 2+ double, both to score double and over 2.5 goals treble all landed and as always he advised 0.5pts on the sevenfold roll-up.

Forest Green hit a last-gasp winner to land the gamble and it was good to see so many on. Ironically someone asked yesterday morning if the sevenfold had come in before and while it hadn't Desmond had been a goal out on a handful of occasions.

Once he's drank the pubs of North Berwick dry his next set of goals tips will be up on Saturday.

My Super Single double landed easily on Arsenal and Spurs and the Top Treble was a 5pts winner until Lincoln conceded a last-minute equaliser to Port Vale.

I was also unlucky with the 33-1 moneyback fivefold with three winners, Derby drawing and just Peterborough losing.

Well done to all the winners and there were plenty including Greg and Johnb with his Woking tips.

On Wednesday there are six Premier League games including Newcastle v Man United and I'll post a preview in the morning.

I'm backing United and goals in that and for a Super Single I'm going United and both to score at 12-5 with Ladbrokes.

My double in the Record is Wolves and both to score at Bournemouth v Watford and I've decided to add Burnley not to lose for a Top Treble.

Wolves notched a fine win at Spurs on Saturday night and while they should follow up beating Crystal Palace I worry slightly about their inconsistency and the fact they seem to play better against the top six. I'm taking them draw no bet.

There have been 18 goals in the last five meetings between Bournemouth and Watford and neither side seems capable of keeping a clean sheet so btts should land.

Burnley tripped me up at the weekend when they beat West Ham and boss Sean Dyche was delighted with the display that was like the Burnley of last season. They travel to a Huddersfield side in serious trouble and lacking goals. A Burnley win is big at 3-1 so that allows me to back them not to lose.

Remember to look at welovebetting for their tips and video chat

    Morning gents

Start as you mean to go as they say and the 1st January was certainly a fantastic day for plenty on the site , none more so than Desmond ⚽️👏🏽

Some EPL games and a matches from
    Portugal take centre stage today

West Ham should take care of travel sick Brighton and will likely be my NAP, 21/20 to score 2+ Goals

Will post in the later in the morning

    • kyle b 5 years ago

The Hammers were utterly abysmal at the turf a few days ago, not often you say this with my team but we controlled the game and won with ease without really breaking a sweat. Apart from a header towards end, West Ham offered nothing going forward and the team I saw looked totally shattered and energy levels depleted. Tbh, we didn’t have to work at all hard for the win, a couple of individuals were impressive for us but it was so surprisingly straightforward. Playing against a Brighton side that will be tough to breakdown and a side that often put one hell of a shift in, may be better bets elsewhere 🤔

    • maccathered 5 years ago

Certainly a no bet game for me,all these sides will be tired and looking at West Ham that is certainly the case especially Anderson who looks like he needs a break.

    • GregBrowning 5 years ago

Yeah it was poor showing from the hammers, they were probably due a stinker given they had wn 5 of their last 6 prior to that

Back at home though against a side who really struggle away from home.

You are right abut Brighton making it tough, just feel at even money West Ham are worth backing, not going to read too much into their no show at Turf Moore

    Man City v Liverpool
    Over 3.5 goals at 13/8*****(NAP)
    Over 4.5 goals at 7/2****(NB)
It’s the clash of the big two and they don’t come any bigger than this. All the pressure is on Man City as they simply have to win this game nothing else will do.Man City have to attack and it just adds pressure to them and City do not perform well under pressure especially when they are playing a team that are well on par if not better than Man City.Liverpool come into this game after an easy 5-1 victory over Arsenal and if Liverpool are at it in this game then it could be a long night for City as all the momentum is with Liverpool after winning every game in December.Liverpool haven’t played since Saturday so will come into this game fired up and i fully expect them to test the hosts. We all know City are a good team and can score for fun and the same can be said about Liverpool. What separate’s these two though is their defense’s with City conceding goals for fun and quite alarmingly for them they give up chances quite easily and i can’t see how they are going to keep Liverpool out,for me Liverpool can win this game and win in style and make a statement.Correct score 1-4 at 50/1 …1-5 at 150/1.
    Best of luck

    • stuntlevity 5 years ago

Lolsssssss maccathered it is a pay back day for Liverpool….. They ended city’s unbeaten run last season and there is no room for Liverpool to hide tonight…. They are going to be beaten today…… 2ndly I doubt if man utd can actually put a stellar performance today against Benitez, the king of mind-game… He is experience wide compared to ole Gunnar solskjaer….. He has what it takes to beat united if they ( united) fail to keep it calm against Newcastle…. If they should play the ways they have played in their last 3 matches, I think Newcastle going to get the goal first and keep it tight in their defense……

I will rather leave man utd out of my ACCA today and take city vs Liverpool both teams to score in 2ndhalf….. Happy New Year to you buddie and to all wonderful tipsters in here…..

    • bobreaksbookies 5 years ago

5.1 Liverpool? Is this the prediction of a tipster or a fan? Oh I forgot, being a fan of a team gives you insider knowledge. Not at all influenced by your heart in these tips?

While I absolutely agree that Liverpool are a wonderful team, have a fabulous recent recover over City and are clearly the form team in the country, I would be absolutely staggered if they won by 3 goals or more here.

Yes, Liverpool did win 4.1 back in 2015 but do you really think a repeat is on the cards on Thursday? I find that hard to imagine, given what is at stake.

While this fixture always screams goals, and I can’t really go against BTTS or even BTTS and over 2.5 goals, I don’t expect Liverpool to waltz to the title with a smashing of their nearest rivals on their own patch.

    • maccathered 5 years ago

I did state 4-1 at 50/1 or 5-1 at 150/1,Liverpool went to Bournemouth and won 0-4,people tipped against us,we went to Watford and won 0-3 again there were doubters,my point it doesn’t matter if it’s Man City Liverpool’s objective is clear, win the game by as many as possible. Now if you read my post properly MY NAP is Over 3.5 goals at 13/8 and over 4.5 goals at 7/2(NB) THESE ARE MY TIPS ON THE GAME.The correct scores are what us Englishmen call long shots (which means just that). Now Liverpool are more than capable of turning any top football side in England over by that sort of score,we have done so at Chelsea,Tottenham,Arsenal,Man Utd and City in the years gone by and i believe Liverpool are more than good enough to win by this sort of margin if City are not on the ball.

    • bobreaksbookies 5 years ago

I read your post properly… I think it might be you who can’t read properly…..where did I accuse you of making those score selections your tips? I merely asked “are these the predictions of a tipster or a fan?” – I never implied that those were your actual main tips or whatever…I just think you let your heart rule your head when it comes to Liverpool, hence the 4.1 or 5.1 score predictions you’ve offered up which seem pretty fanciful (hence the odds)

Given the importance of the match and how much City need to win, I absolutely can’t see them losing by such a wide margin.

City last conceded 5 at home in 2003 when they were managed by Kevin Keegan!

I’ll give you 1000/1 odds (max stake 10p haha) that Liverpool don’t win 5.1.

    • maccathered 5 years ago

I don’t know whats inbetween your ears pal.The correct scores are long shots. My Tips are for goals in the game merely because city cant defend.Get back on boat and jog on.

    • Mr Fixit 5 years ago

He’s a fan – you should know that by now.
However, many of his Liverpool long shots have landed over the past year.
Take his tips in the way intended.

  4. spursman 5 years ago

Speaking of irony, it was me who mentioned to Desmond about whether his bet had ever landed….but I forgot to back it…lol….not sure whether that is irony or stupidity but well done to the man nonetheless

    • Mr Fixit 5 years ago

I couldn’t remember if it was you or clydeman but I think it was karma – you should take some of the credit and it’s a pity you didn’t back it.

Ive had quite a bit of joy in Australia lately so will go with the following bet builder for interest based on recent stats for both sides.

    BTTS – Yes
    Over 2 goals in total
Over 0 cards for Newcastle Jets
Over 0 cards for Brisbane Roar
Over 4 corners for Newcastle Jets
Over 3 corners for Brisbane Roar

As there’s always late goals in Oz, I like the 5/6 offered for a goal after 76mins too

Mate 2b totally honest, it’s so tough 2 call ??? If I had the same Question a month or so ago, I probably wldve said , we will at least draw, let’s be honest, Liverpool r playing some nice football, but so r we, that’s wat we do , & were not playing bad , just a cpla games haven’t went r way, but that’s football as we all know so well , so to answer ur Question, I wld say a draw because Liverpool r hard to beat this season, but I wldnt be surprised if either team won either… 50/50 game I suppose, but I know at least 1 person he might disagree with my analysis lol

IT was a terrific new years days for many of us and today brings a much smaller card with a handful of EPL matches and games from both the top tier and second tier in Portugal. I’m taking West Ham to get back to winning ways against a Brighton side who struggle away from home.

West Ham v Brighton (KO 7.45pm)

It was a bitterly disappointing trip to Turf Moore for the hammers as they went down without a whimper as Burnley easily beat them 2-0

It was a bit of a surprise result, especially given the form West ham have been in and would certainly have downed a lot of coupons.

Prior to that, they had won 5 of their last 6 matches (three of those included home wins against Burnley, Palace and Cardiff) and have a great record against sides in the bottom half of the table.

They are back at home tonight and have a terrific incentive to close the gap on 7th placed Leicester which will be the positon 7 0r 8 clubs will be targeting.

They welcome a Brighton side who had a fruitful festive period picking up 4 points with a 1-1 draw against Arsenal and a 1-0 win over Everton.

Both of these games were at home though, one against an Everton side who have been dismal and when you look further into it, Brighton have collected 17 of their 25 points at home.

Away from home they really struggle, just two wins and a draw and those points were collected against the leagues poorest sides.

They have travelled to Bournemouth, Burnley and Cardiff recently and lost all three, this is much tougher and whilst they are a good side and tough to breakdown, I’m taking the Hammers to get back to winning ways against a side who aren’t much of a threat on the road.

    Recommended Bet:

    •West Ham to win
    •49/50 (Marathonbet) (NAP)

    *****************************************************************************************

Of the 6 EPL matches I’m taking 5 of them in the early goal markets (leave out Huddersfield v Burnley). Pays 1461/1

Goal before 10 mins (5 fold, 4 fold, trebles)

Goal Before 30 mins ( 5 fold) be around 18/1 inplay

There’s 9 matches from Portugal today and I’m going to have a punt on all 9 going over 1.5 goals which pays 20/1

Good luck with your bets today

    • maccathered 5 years ago

Deffo worth taking la,i am biased as it’s Liverpool but i think we will beat them tomorrow night by a good few.I watched City v Southampton and how easy it was for the saint’s to create chances, they pressed City at times and forced them into making mistakes,Liverpool are the best team in England for Pressing and will certainly make City make mistakes.I have done Mane,Firmihno and Salah all to score so that should tell you how confident i am.

I agree, city recently appear like flat track bullies. When teams have a go at them and believe city seem a bit flaky.
This I where guardiola falls down, at Barca, Bayern and city it’s rare his in game management is required as invariably it’s not needed, but like against Leicester, Lyon etc this season he seemed powerless to alter the course of a game.
Liverpool won’t read them one at iota and will certainly score, over 1,5 probably in a 2-2 draw which is Liverpool would accept to keep the gap at the top.

    Morning gents,

Some crackers yesterday and hats off to Desmondo on his acca – magic start to 2019 😀

I’m taking on a couple more goal-time bets from the EPL and reckon both Newcastle (in front of a packed St James) and Burnley (against a woeful ‘Uddersfield) can beat the times offered:

One for the Night Owls out there:

It’s that time of year and the annual Sao Paulo Youth Cup is kicking off in Brasil – plenty of action in the matches especially in the early stages where the smaller district outfits go head to head with the likes of Fluminense, Corinthians, Nacional, Santos and Palmeiras’ youth sides.

It’s the ‘biggest’ Youth tournament in Brasil and is taken very seriously – it’s certainly not to be sniffed at if you consider the players on display here are the ones that will go on to populate their national side in the very near future!

One selection stands out from this evening’s games and I expect the mighty Corinthians to put a good few past lowly Ricanto – they have been THE standout team in recent years and have featured in 5 of the last 7 finals having won 10 tournaments in total…5 more than any other side.

    CORINTHIANS U20 VS. RICANATO U20 (2330 KO):

    OVER 5 GOALS…6/4

Is there any chance of anyone tipping City for tomorrow night without maccathered replying with crying emojis or asking for a reason for a post. Stop embarrassing yourself lad. What gives you the right of shooting down members predictions just because it happens to be against your club?

    • maccathered 5 years ago

Because he is a Man Utd fan you idiot,it is banter,if people want to tip City their is no problem from me with it.People can tip who they like.

Been a bit inconsistent with the card betting but going in again as done research and some good prices IMO.
Huddersfield v Burnley 50 or more booking points. 2.10
West ham v Brighton 40 or more booking points. 1.91.
    Small stake on the double.
Premier League is not great for card betting. Prefer serie A and la Liga but good referees for these matches and teams sit high in regard to yellow and red cards

BTTS, 10+ match corners and 40+ match booking pts @ 4.00

Salah has scored in the last 4 fixtures versus Man City albeit one of them was in the champion cup. 11/8 for him to knock one in tmrw represents excellent value and I’ll be on that along with a half stakes on Mane who has 3 in same 4 and Firminho with 2 in same 4.

  44. tonys 5 years ago

Boomshackle, might go with Salah ATGS as one of my £10 bets to get ‘free’ bet..

  45. boomshackle 5 years ago

Good shout Tony, forgot to mention both Mane and Firminho are a tasty 9/4 a piece
