IT'S a busy night in England and on the Continent but that doesn't make it easy to pick winners.
In England we have the Carabao Cup and EFL Trophy and both competitions are about who fields the strongest side.
All Premier League teams will make many changes but so will lower-league clubs who are concentrating on league results.
We have ties such as Preston v Man City, Arsenal v Nottm Forest and Luton v Leicester and I want to see line-ups before picking out anything on the WDW market. For me the EPL Trophy is a betting no-no.
Games in Europe include Barcelona v Villarreal, Brescia v Juventus and Dijon v Marseille.
Not taking anything two dramatic tonight and I've picked out two trebles. Start with La Liga surprise guys Granada, who have won three in a row to nil including Saturday's defeat of Barcelona, at lowly Valladolid. They should win but I'm playing it safe as is the case with Marseille draw no bet at Dijon.
Marseille have lost one of their first six and have taken seven out of nine points on the road. Rock-bottom Dijon have one point out of 18.
Complete the treble with Serie A champions Juventus at promoted Brescia. Juve have started with three wins and a draw in their relentless chase for another crown and should beat a side they haven't lost to for 12 years. Brescia have started OK with two wins and two losses but would need to play above themselves to avoid defeat here even if Juve are without Cristiano Ronaldo.
My goals bet is from the Carabao Cup and while not quite random anything could happen in these games. At least Portsmouth v Southampton should be a real game – a sold-out derby with the sides meeting for the first time in seven years. Can see goals and bookings.
Arsenal, who could give Kieran Tierney his long-awaited debut, face a confident Forest side unbeaten in nine and again should be goals at both ends.
Preston host Man City and even if the champs make many changes they'll still put out a strong side and should be at least three goals.
Well done to all the winners last night including HullShaker. My double was beaten by a Wolfsburg goals and I hummed and hawed about whether to back goals or take the home win and made the wrong choice. My other pick came in with both to score at Sporting. In fact both scored in all five games I flagged up and that would have been a great bet.

Al sadd in action yet again today for what seems like the millionth time since they started back in august. I think tiredness is starting to creep in and it showed a bit in the 2nd half of their game on Friday. The league have done them a favour and cancelled this weekends fixture to allow them to focus on next Tuesdays champions league semi final so im caught in a few minds about how to approach this one from a betting point of view as team news usually isn’t available until about 30 mins prior to ko, and by then prices will have dropped massively (most are already way down from last night). im not sure if they will rest the players who have been playing every game for them and look in need of a rest or wether Xavi will send out his strongest side knowing they have a full week before their next game. ive managed to get a few selections together tho and not surprisingly they are all goals based. 3 league games this season have yielded 3 wins but- the opposition have netted in them all. in fact in 8 domestic and champions league games they have managed just 1 clean sheet, nd im gonna take a wee stab at Al Sailiya netting today for my NB.
